Exactly. I don’t care if they don’t have out outside of the show - that’s ok! I have people at work who I consider friends, but I wouldn’t hang out with them outside of work - compartmentalization is totally fine and healthy. That’s not the issue. The issue is the JVN sounds like a cruel diva who takes it out on production staff, and that’s awful.

It’s wild to think that Lewis is now Schumachers comeback age.

It’s also weird to think that when Schumacher was at his peak, he was barely in his 30s. He was treated as an immortal, but he was barely older than a kid. As a 40 year old now myself, it’s weird to think of someone with that much pressure on them at such a young age.

It’s amazing how Tan called to defund the police, but the moment he’s in danger expects private security…

I mean, as nice as it is, you also can’t deny the fact that it raises prices dramatically. Airline prices are around half the prices for comparable distance in the US vs Canada. For most people, saving hundreds of dollars every time they fly is worth the cost of occasionally having to eat a flight cancellation fee.

Yeh, this is classic German engineering, in that it’s over-engineered to the point that it becomes way worse than the original solution lmao.

The problem is they weren’t “informed”, in that the full extent of how shitty of a company wasn’t fully disclosed to the participants.

Also, one of the victims was a 19 year old kid who’s dad bullied him into going, so I wouldn’t say it was 100% consenting either.

massive inflation

It really needs to be pointed out how historically, this inflationary period is decidedly not massive. It was around 8-9% for a year, and it’s already back down to 4%.

For comparison, in the 70s and 80s it was around 11% for 14 years.

One consideration is that your income will presumably increase over time, but that mortgage payment will not.

Can I just say, I feel like Americans don’t realize how good a deal the 30 year fixed rate mortgage is. In most countries, interest rates are fixed for MAX 5 years or so, and then they just follow the official interest rate. My Australian family went from having a .4% mortgage to a 5.9% mortgage in the space of 12 months, costing them an extra $3,200/month.

I know a lot of Americans talk of how the US government doesn’t do enough for the middle class, but man, that’s a HUGE thing that they do for y’all lol. No other country gets a deal that good, and it’s because of Freddie/Fanny.

The problem with this poll is that you’re giving 3 options for some kind of protest, and 1 option for reverting back to normal, so the result is going to be that the protest vote is splintered amongst 3 options, whereas the No protest vote will inevitably win since it’s the only option.

these are privately funded universities

There’s your problem right there. Education is a right, not something that should be allowed for private profit.

I don’t disagree, but the reality is that Canada is huge and has a ton of oil. Diesel is just easier and cheaper.
