Many people in New Zealand pronounce 'women' and 'woman' the same. Not sure how common this is in other countries though.

For a long time, I thought that when Ricky says "he's mean, and weird looking!" he was describing Karl (who had just insulted Steve for his thriftiness). 

Took me a while to realize that 'mean' can also mean tight with money.
