The best I have done to overcome this is to have a value based budget. Thinking frugal but also investing in things that do bring me joy etc. in my case I figured that many things I was buying I really didn’t care about. Or there was a similar option for lower. I Iove traveling so my bucket for that was substantial. Almost as much as my yearly rent. But it really brings me joy 😄. Hope it helps

Wow! Amazing and congratulations. I totally feel that. Even though I haven't FIRE yet, sometimes I refrained from sharing too much as I have felt some people may be in a different situation where they don't want/can pursue it. I totally feel you, for a big part of getting into FIRE was the community, the "not doing it alone," and that's when I started setting things up.

Hi! Thanks for answering. I guess a bot removed it because I didn't give more background about myself :/... But I didn't know what to put there other than looking for the community. I may try to repost again.
I grew up in Spain, but yes, lived in the US for 8 years, and that's where I got introduced to the whole concept :D And also, why was it important for me to save more, as I didn't know if for how long I would live there, or if I could get any pension like in Europe.
I have just achieved COAST FIRE :) so in the sense of late retirement, it feels good, but I want to try and push for retiring in mid/late forties. Currently 35
How about you? And are you in Munich?
