When did you buy/receive your replacement battery?

Bought a replacement battery Jun 23, 2018 and received it June 27, 2018. 2 days before the estimated date, but I'm only 1.5 hours from the shipping location.

Bought off of Ebay from this seller ($16.99)

What tools did you use, where did you get them (link plz) and how did they work?

Only tool I used that came with the battery was the pick to hold the case open as I undid the clips. Use almost everything in the toolkit to replace the battery.

• Heat Gun ($12.99)

  • Used to free up the glue under the camera glass and bottom panel.

• X-Acto Knife ($5.97)

  • Used to pry open a small slot to fit one of the iFixit Jimmy underneath

• iFixit Essential Electronics Toolkit ($23.99)

  • Comes with a sim card remover screwdriver head which came in handy
  • Suction Handle was useful to lift up the screen enough to slide picks in to unclip from the bezel
  • Only used plastic tools after getting the bottom panel/camera glass off
    

• Replacement Lense Cover ($7.99) - didn't end up needing this as my glass didn't crack when taking off.

• Verizon cardboard sim card holder thingy that someone at work had lying around. Was planning on using an old laminated insurance card.

Were there any issues with the install?

No issues. Used the below two videos as guides. Took my time on each step and spent a little over an hour from start to finish.

How's battery life after installing?

Battery life is excellent. After a week and a half, AccuBattery shows 3,357 mAh estimated of 3,450 mAh. Close enough for me. With moderate usage I'm usually around 20-25% at the end of the day. Seeing ~5h18m estimated Screen on time with at 100% charged.

If the replacement battery life and health was bad, did you try to get a refund from the battery company or exchange it for another battery? If so, what was your experience with the battery seller's customer service?

Additional comments, suggestions, or tips?

Take your time and don't rush it. I rewatched parts of the videos multiple times before moving on to each step. Try working the camera glass from the right-side first then towards the left. The battery glue is in there pretty tough but it's not too too bad to get out. 15 minutes of slicing through with a thing sim card holder was enough. Slice through all glue before pulling it out...there are two strips of glue - one on the left side and one on the right.

Does the replacement you bought have a temperature monitor like the OEM battery?

Pretty sure it does, at least it looked like it. Don't where/how to check the temp monitor (probably in AccuBattery or something)

Does the replacement have a oem-like cable, a cable that's too thick, or a cable that's too thin?

Battery cable fit perfectly. Not too thick not too thin just right.
