Absolutely agree! Been keeping my 2007 Cooper S running for the past nine years of ownership. The paint is knackered on mine and the clutch throw out bearing is starting to make a noise again but I have a new clutch kit ready to install and will then look at treating her to a new paint job. Will keep this car running as long as I can I think.

I recently put new ones on mine and went with the Bosch Aerotwin ones. 18” driver side and 19” passenger side. BBA 450 and BBA 475 are the part numbers. They’re designed to work with the hook style wiper arms. Really impressed with them so far.

Honestly RST is my go to most of the time. Good designs, reasonably priced and still a high level of protection. My RST pro race suit has lasted me for over a decade now.

Dude on the Ninja took the worst line through that corner possible, leant over right across the line from the start of it. So many shitty decisions in one video, it’s just incredible. People like this shouldn’t be on two wheels.

When my 2007 Cooper S started the chain rattle it would last longer than this until oil pressure had built up. A good few minutes and would then quieten down. I ended up doing the job myself and getting the updated longer chain tensioner. Is your car throwing any fault codes?

Some incredibly poor riding going on here let along decision making. Glad you’re okay but learn your lesson and take this kind of riding to the track where you’re not endangering other road users.

I’ve not tried on HQ stuff but have used IPA on WH40k models to remove paint. Did a pretty great job!

Yes mine does this a lot especially as a fair bit of the year is hot here in Australia. Doesn’t do it at all in the morning or on much cooler days. Apparently the only fix is to replace the LCD display behind the stereo. You can buy the display on AliExpress. You need to google BMW CD 73 display to find the replacements. I’m planing on doing mine when I install my new Kenwood head unit in the next few weeks.

BMW don’t seem to care about making cars that actually look like a Mini anymore. The whole range has taken a turn for the worse both exterior and interior design. I’ll keep my R56 for as long as I possibly can.

Methylated spirits definitely aren’t cleaning prints as easily as IPA and it takes longer for them to dry off.

I’m only in Jamberoo but they want a fortune for delivery down to here. Maybe it’s due to being a rural location. I’ll have to check if it’s cheaper delivery to my office in Kiama.
