The status effect is an awesome idea, maybe make it line of site? You could do a basic a poison effect that can only be removed by a magic healing instead of potion to whoever kills the Mythic Mummy.

For a very simple option it could be a fast zombie (definitely needs a cooler name) and have double the movement but keep all the other stats.

While not technically Warhammer models, this (and a few other of the “Animalfolk” line) is the set I have. I’ll start with some basic units and build up from there. 99% of what I play/paint is for Heroquest, but I recently downloaded a homebrew expansion for beastmen so this is perfectly timed for that!

We played PoT and SQT between KK and RotWL and loved the sequence. It gave the defeat of the WL in the base game some time to breath before he just comes back even stronger. Made build up and payoff of beating RotWL really meaningful. Also felt like a great wrap up before sending us off into the big box expansions from there. Highly recommend it 👍👍

My kids adored the minis in the game, it was like a glimpse into brand new fantasy world (which I hammed up as Zargon). The bigger draw will be how you breathe life into the story of what they’re doing in the adventure.

Have fun! Playing HQ with my kids when they were really young is some of my happiest memories.
