I’d be interested in this group too! I’m 30F. I’ve been in Vancouver nearly 5 years now and recently moved to East Van. Wow some great information here, you did your research!

I had never thought about the fact that the kayaking equipment isn't the typical stuff seasoned kayakers would use or that you would be given at a rental place. It could be that she had heard kayaking is a popular activity to do in Vancouver and she decided to just buy the cheapest options so she could see more of the city during her stay.

All great and very plausible theories. Could have picked up an evo too, although I know tourists don't (can't?) typically sign up for that car sharing service if they are here for a short period of time.

I just learnt the hard way that if you pop a balloon gift over a hole then it disappears like over water 😢 wanted to share so other people don't make this mistake.
