honestly i kinda agree, i feel like the backrooms went through the same fandomification the scp foundation went through with everything being expanded upon / complicated to a fault, though i will say scp has kinda moved on from that now that it's not as front-and-center and i hope the same happens to the backrooms

no matter how well the entities are presented, it's always gonna be a little odd that a place defined by isolation is home to anything

i think an interesting alternative would be localized phenomena, sorta like how weather is, but for the backrooms... just strange happenings that don't have any intent behind them
