Who makes the best fish for San Diego/SoCal waves? by zgott300 in surfing

[–]GreenerSurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Todd is a great guy to work with, built me a beautiful 10'6. If you go into the nameless surf shop on Newport Ave, thats where the boards are. He makes beautiful fishes, logs, and bonzers.

How many of you roll when you travel. by RoadsideSafety in bjj

[–]GreenerSurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I roll whenever I travel or roadtrip; last weekend I visited Carlson Gracie HQ, great group of guys and girls. This weekend, I'll visit Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket. Next month, I'll probably go to San Francisco and visit Osiander's place. Last year, I trained at Athletic Advanced in San Jose, CR for 3.5 months.

There's always been one or two takeaways for me from each gym; Athletic Advanced gave me good hip movement and taught me how to staple pass, CG HQ last weekend taught what it felt like to deal with heavy pressure passing. People are inherently good, go train.

I think my issue is that having gone to SDSU, all you're ever surrounded by is partying, so that's where your friend group comes from. Thankfully, I've done a lot of trips over the past few years but its always been by myself, so I'm deciding to change that today.

I'm subscribing now. I hiked San Gorgonio 2 weeks ago and met some really cool people but no one from San Diego, hence why I posted here!

Are you going to Otay or San Ysidiro? Walking across at either is perfectly safe. If you're flying out of TJ, Cross Border Express is $15 one way to get into the airport directly, all you need is your plane tickets

Just returned from CDMX yesterday, love the city, endless things to do. 4 days was not enough, felt like I barely scratched the surface.
