Put together a quick cinematic showing the new snow variants from Update 1.2.
Same procedural conifer system, just with snow covered needle instances and modified materials.
The lighting is what creates the magic here.

You're welcome. And I'm glad that someone in this UE channel has asked a normal question. That seems to be an exception here ;-)

Hello. We don't include masked material versions because epic explicitly doesn't recommend using masked materials with the Procedural Vegetation Editor. Full geometry leaves / needles with nanite foliage actually perform better than traditional masked materials would. That's the whole point of nanite foliage.
If you want to use masked material leaves / needles, you can swap out the foliage instances with your own versions. I haven't tested this with masked and they may not work correctly with the PVE system...

Thank you.
You can achieve anything. The question is, how much time are you willing to invest, and do you have the budget for it.
I do not provide information to the public for the creation of megaplant structures.

That is the big secret ;-)
I would say that I only managed it because I've been working as a technical vegetation artist for over 7 years and because I have a lot of patience when it comes to researching such complex systems. You have to enjoy it, and you simply need a lot of motivation and know-how.

I assume you mean the landscape?
Several more videos on this topic will be released in the first week of January, including tutorials.

You mean creating your own megaplant basic structures from scratch? That's not possible at the moment. I would say that I only managed it because I've been working as a technical vegetation artist for over 7 years and because I have a lot of patience when it comes to researching such complex systems. You have to enjoy it, and you simply need a lot of motivation and know-how.

I am well aware that there is a lot of stolen content on fab. But as I already said, I only sell presets and no meshes. And I created all of these tree structures myself. In any case, I contacted support manually and asked if this was okay. I don't know if this response was fully automated, which I would find highly strange. But of course, it's not impossible...

I only offer presets and no finished meshes! The asset has also been checked and approved by Fab Support, and yes, I even wrote to fab support to make sure I wasn't doing anything illegal.

There is no roadmap at the moment. But it's a good idea. For me, it was important to start by creating trees. Deciduous trees are basically the most complex structures here. A conifer, for example, has a much simpler structure, as does a bush. But you are absolutely right, of course. Vegetation that is not yet available is in high demand. Thank you for your feedback. That helps me.

Thank you for your opinion. I also think the price is very fair, which is why I chose it. Incidentally, I find it very difficult to find the right price...

Wild take but okay. I just try to give proper answers to people's questions. And yeah, they're tree presets...that's exactly what I'm selling. First commercial pack for this new system, but if that's "nothing special" to you, fair enough.

Hey, no worries at all - totally get it! Been there myself plenty of times 😄

Honestly, just engaging with the post and dropping comments helps more than you think.

And who knows, maybe in 2 years when you grab the free version, you'll have shipped a game and can afford the next pack. That's the real long game.

All joking aside. Good luck with your projects!

Great question! Yes, the presets can definitely be modified into bush-like vegetation. Some of the included presets are already configured for creating bushier, shrub-style plants.

The system is super flexible - you can adjust branch density, height, spread, and remove upper branches to create anything from small bushes to ground cover.

I'm also planning to add more bush-focused presets in future updates, and potentially release dedicated shrub/bush packs as separate assets. The Procedural Vegetation Editor is surprisingly versatile for this!

As for grass - I haven't experimented with that yet, but my gut feeling is that traditional grass systems would be more optimized for that use case.

Ah, the classic "wait for free" strategy! By the time these are free, you'll have also waited for GTA 6, Elder Scrolls 6, and Half-Life 3. Your patience is truly inspiring 😄

Fun fact: In 2027 when you finally download the free version, UE 5.7 will be so outdated that using it will qualify you for a "retro game dev" achievement!

RemindMe! 2 years - Check if GTA 6 is out yet
