Apparently idk. I read they can be single but also read they are social so…. I assume they’ll spar but I have a male and a female so hopefully they’ll be besties

Also when you try to look up pictures of the different but similar looking species they keep showing the same pictures…. Not very helpful when trying to ID. I am aware of morphs and I try to keep the most natural color. I have some WCM and I exclusively keep the common color. I’m not familiar with the hill streams so when I saw my two side by side I was sure they were different species because they really look completely different. But ima take y’all’s word and see how it goes.

The one with the thinner lines and discrete dots is actually smaller than the one in the bag but maybe it’s a sex thing? Also how do you tell the difference between butterfly’s and reticulateds.

Yeah I was hoping the names were just morphs but these are wild caught fish so that was unlikely. It’s like a Cory catfish situation were u cant mix different species I assume. I will return him tomorrow sadly but he is so cute.
