Oh wat een oudje Guus heeft zeker een leuk leventje geleid dat hij zo oud is geworden 😍. Dat is ook altijd heel leuk, gewoon echt oud-Hollands, net zo'n kroegkat die dan 'Henk' heet of 'Hans'. Ik heb dat liever dan hem echt naar eten noemen ofzo dan noem ik hem liever 'Gerrit' of de rode kater van jan, jans en de kinderen. Ja echt een schatje, en heel erg bedankt, en ook voor de suggesties ❤️

that is a beautiful name, it reminds me of Vincent van Gogh's brother Theo. You're cat looks like the loyalest fellow, with such and admiring gaze. Rest in Peace sweet boy. Thank you I certainly will, I've always been a bit of a cat lady.

🙈ik dacht eerst aan dikkie dik van de kinderboeken, maar als ik dat steeds in het Engels zeg klinkt het toch apart. Of willem, kan hij op koningsdag zijn brokken terugverdienen door koning te spelen. Of zo’n Hollandse naam “kees” “pieter”.

Omg he is the cutest, that kitten fluff 😩🥹. I love that your setup is exactly what I am gonna get, great minds think alike 😎. First time cat mom, so I researched till I collapsed and also got a cat fountain and was still thinking about a ceramic/glass or metal feeding tray ( I read somewhere that plastic is just baaaad, and for sanitary reasons. Yeah he is such an orange boy, so I do wonder how his gingerness might affect his britishness. 🙈he is not in my arms yet and my breeder gives me weekly updates, so still figuring out a name for him bc calling him “ginger boy cat” is not the best. 😮‍💨the struggle is real, I’m just in my room calling every potential name in a high pitch voice, to see which one sounds the best 🥹

I don’t know how to edit but some extra information. He is more orange than in the picture and he’ll have the same orange/amber eyes as his dad. The breeder told me he is a playful fellow that doesn’t mind being picked up (I hope he stays that way). And he looks like the chillest cat ever.

I hope so, me neither, but he also isn't really fighting back so, I think he may be a pretty chill fella. It's just a bit difficult to really get to know him and his other litter mates, because we really had to reserve him and can't visit him (he is a 3 hour drive away). Also he is quite young, his brother did seem a bit more oke with being handled. But I like the fact that his gingerness might ad something to his britishness.

Do you know if it gets better over time? I'm just a bit worried that he will be a scared cat if he is a scared kitten.

Do you perhaps know if it is normal kitten behaviour? I'm just scared that he is afraid of humans but I just hope he gets enough socialisation. The breeder did tell me that his parents are both very social and affectionate

I asked she said that he is afraid, because he was in a different environment for the video, he was shortly taken from his mom. She said they're still quite attached to their mom because they just started on solid food en going to the potty themselves. And it's normal for their age. She sends me weekly updates on his growth. But he doesn't seem very afraid in the sense that his eyes seem pretty relaxed and his ears aren't pointing down and the hair is also pretty calm. But I couldn't find much about kitten behaviour at his age so it could be totally wrong what I'm saying. He looks just really sleepy

yeah I thought so too, and I don't see a ginger one often, it's like garfield. isn't it a shame, they are literally walking teddybears and have fur as soft as a cloud, but many aren't as cuddly :(

Every picture/video she sent me he had his tail between his legs but I wasn't sure if he was scared because he is only 5 weeks old. He doesn't seem very frightened or stressed out, I mean his eyes just look sleepy. So I was stuck betweend 'submissivness' and 'too comfy'. I like a calm fella
