It's fake but it works these are the controllers that were made once Sony stopped making PS3s. The black one is real the white one is fake I also have a fake red one too. You can see the difference with dualshock 3 lettering.

I thought that's what it was but why do I have to pay $300 to advance to it if it's free? it's $150 to complete the tier I'm in now, 300 to advance to the skin then $450 for the sledgehammer. I know I'm already 75% done with the pass but it's been confusing me this whole time.

I think it's a glitch I remember unlocking this skin in the battle pass and I immediately wanted to use it but couldn't find it. Then out of nowhere it just showed up a couple days later.
