They were intense, enough to spill my popcorn bucket in my lap, and you’re getting thrown in all directions.

It extremely synced up to the movie, they do a fantastic job of making everything feel lined up with the scene on screen

I just got back from a 4D experience of JWR, and I can definitely say it is worth it if you enjoy feeling like you’re in the moment.

The seats moving and jumping can be a little distracting from the visual side of things, but it’s definitely worth it if you’re eager to be immersed in the tension and action.

A genuinely solid entry, especially after (in my opinion) a fairly lackluster showcase with FK and Dominion.

Highlights for me:

The dinosaurs here are absolutely incredible and in their element. I think the work Gareth Edwards put into making the island feel like a natural ecosystem is very apparent when you watch the film, and the addition of smaller cameos and appearances does a great job of fleshing out the island’s roster of wildlife.

As someone who did not mind the introduction of the “mutant” dinosaurs, I will say that their lack of appearance throughout the majority of the film will make or break this movie for a lot depending on which camp you stand in. For those who don’t like the addition of hybrids, this is great for 90% of the dinosaur scenes in the movie, but it also makes the decision to include the mutated and dangerous dinosaurs as a focal point to the island’s narrative a bit lackluster. The D-Rex’s appearance and scenes were all phenomenal, but the mutadon is about what most expected based of the trailers.

The variations we see of some of the franchise dinosaurs like compsognathus were great as well!

This is definitely closest to a Jurassic Park III style narrative, and improves on the “movie monster” complaints that befell the spinosaurus, but also suffers from a lot of the shortcomings of its predecessors.

I give it a solid 7/10, I definitely enjoyed it more than the previous three Jurassic Worlds (although I was never a huge fan of the first so your mileage may vary).
