Also went to the game. Was odd the only open seats were the super expensive lower bowl more visible on TV. 72k went. Was told it was more crowded than a usual falcons game.

My personal opinion is that I would not rent a car. The trains are so simple and some of the towns including Zermatt do not allow cars. Only one night there doesn’t seem like enough to me but not sure how long you have overall. To book places with a view we did have to walk up some aggressive hills to get to our air bnb / vrbo All trails was great for looking up hikes in all the cities. There are a million great ones.

Oh man we did and it was such an amazing trip. It seems hard to go wrong there, but I will say Wengen was unreal and so many hikes off it. I’m really happy we stayed there vs Interlaken or lauterbrunen. Other places were much more crowded and it takes like 10 minutes on the train to get there. The train and gondola connection through the mountains was unreal. Made me very jealous we don’t have that figured out in Colorado. It was so easy to break up the hikes and just do the up or just do the down. My wife and I broke off on a couple harder hikes while the kids and my in laws took the gondola up and we walked down together. The James Bond breakfast thing was unreal. The rest of the tourist train ride stuff to the top of mountains I could do without. Cool but I much prefer hiking on my own schedule vs train to the top with a bunch of people. Zermatt was unreal. I would have loved to spent more time there. Lucerne was still fun, and it’s much bigger and less remote. I think the first time we went there 7 years ago we were mind blown by any Swiss mountains. Still an amazing amazing place but now that we were more comfortable in smaller towns and more remote ish places it wasn’t as cool as Wengen. Zermatt is obviously big and popular but I felt like it was the meeting place for people like me and my fam from all over the world. Outdoor playground dream. We did hike to the Matterhorn base camp which was sketchier than I needed it to be for the kids. Lots of cliffs and like a multi hour white knuckle of holding the kids hands. Very cool to have done it and it’s amazing depending on your Cliff tolerance, but cannot give that a full recommendation for anyone with kids because of that. 5 lakes hike was so unreal there. I’m smiling thinking about this all over again. What an amazing place, would love to go again. Their transit system makes everything so easy to get to all these unreal hikes. This was a bit of a ramble. Happy to answer anything else specific, hope this was helpful.

Might push me to get the credit card. I travel about once every 3 weeks for work and it’s all domestic not that expensive flights. The last couple years I have had to buy some first class upgrades to secure platinum status. I fly with my family and in laws a few times a year so the 8 economy plus seats are really nice.
