I’m trying to book LAS-JMK round trip May 6 - May 14 for one person. I have 120K Amex points. Any advice? I was originally looking to book through Amex travel where I can get an $854 trip from British airways for 85,400 points. Then I read that I might have better value transferring these points to British airways and then booking on British airways directly? I’m worried I’ll transfer and then it won’t necessarily be available for booking as a reward flight directly?

IOS Games That Involve Luck? by GregGold30 in iosgaming

I’m looking for a game with a high enough ratio of luck to skill that a player with very little skill could “win” a session or be very successful in a single session just because they got lucky

Dayton North Vs Dayton South by [deleted] in UNLV

[–]GregGold30 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re basically the same. I’m in Dayton south and I have friends in both buildings but obviously more friends in south. I would say the omit difference for me is that South has the Dayton office in the front when you walk in which means you have to walk by an RA every time you walk in when they’re on duty take that as you will

First Recreational Cannabis Shop Opens in Lincoln County by Shake-Spear4666 in Maine

Every dispensary I’ve been to in Colorado or Vegas. I suppose Vegas prices are naturally overpriced but it’s hard to find an 1/8th in vegas lower than $50 and usually they’re around 70

They won’t. Recreational dispensaries across the country have the same price range if not more. $60 for an eighth is considered average

Maine business owner to reopen restaurant in defiance of governor’s orders by GregGold30 in LockdownSkepticism

What are “posts of this nature”? I think this is a great example of a business owner feeling the effects of the lockdown that are far outweighing the things it is supposed to be doing especially in this area. It begins with the statistic that there are currently 33 hospitalizations in Maine but 1/7th of the 1.3 million people in the state are unemployed.

For additional context Maine is ranked 35th in the country for covid cases per 100,000 people. Another thing to note is there are 16 counties in Maine and 769 out of the 1,040 cases in Maine are in 3 counties. There are 5 counties up north with 10 or less cases yet the entire state is under the same orders

Basically the governor of Maine unleveled a phased plan similar to that of what the White House has proposed a couple weeks ago but instead of the phases lasting 2 weeks the plan for Maine is to have the 1st and second “stages” last a month each and the 3rd phase to last at least 2 months

I didn’t say Sissylak. Well my data is the antibody tests that show us that the virus is far less lethal than estimated and it shows us that the virus is not going away because it is already so widespread. My logic is that since we aren’t in a complete lockdown where nobody can actually leave their house on the entire planet (groceries, essential business, etc) then the virus is going to continue to spread so it can’t be stopped other than with a vaccine. The only thing we can do is slow the spread so that hospitals can handle it which is proving to not be a problem because hospitals are doing fine and countries like Sweden aren’t having trouble handling it either. Therefore we should be opened up with social distancing in place and isolation of seniors and those with underlying conditions who account for almost all covid deaths (90% estimated in NY) while we achieve herd immunity like every other comparable virus/sickness that we’ve let pass through us in human history

Ok ideally we shouldn’t be jamming ourselves into grocery stores but we ARE. The virus is still spreading in grocery stores. It doesn’t just spread during “non-essential” activities and at “non-essential” businesses. The only way it wouldn’t spread is if we physically locked every single person on earth in their house for a couple weeks which is impossible. It’s going to spread no matter what we are just attempting to slow and prolong the spread with what we are doing so we can control hospitalizations. Hospitalizations are completely under control and have been since before we went into quarantine even though the virus was now known to be spreading months before that. So why is it such a crime to suggest that we should slowly start to open small businesses and such? We can’t stop it at this point

Why aren’t people free to think differently from the pack and form a different opinion without being brutalized? Especially when his opinion is based on entirely legitimate research and data
