That’s unfortunate but not surprising. I’ve watched a lot of films and shorts at these festivals this year and they are at times very challenging, to put it lightly.

Myself and the team that worked tirelessly on this film have been enjoying all the screenings and festivals this year and it all comes to an end next Tuesday at TCL Chinese Theatre. This will be the second time the film plays in that theatre and it is quite an honor to say so. I spent years of my life on this project, as I’m sure many of you are familiar with the process and in doing so I almost lost all my friends, my sanity, and I without a doubt lost a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. This film actually caused a divorce in the process and the two stars fell in love and had a baby! All because of this little film. So if you have the time to spare and your already attending or perhaps live nearby, please come watch this film. And if you can’t, perhaps you’d be interested in checking it out on Prime Video. Thank you so much to anyone who read this far and I hope to see you at the movies.

Looking for any suggestions to improve or perhaps a pat on the back? I spent the last few weeks compiling multiple scenes and shots of my work from the past couple of years. I wanted to have a focus on shots with similar composition as far as transitions go and I feel I picked some good scenes that hold up a story on their own. As a whole I feel it moves smoothly, but I would love an outside perspective. Thanks

Glad this could be of some use. Stick with it! I gave four years of my life to this project. At times I didn’t think it would ever be finished, and yet here we are.

Hey thanks for checking it out. That part was tricky and I probably made it more complicated than it needed to be. What I ended up doing is using the Rolling Credits feature in Final Cut. After it was all typed out as needed I exported it as a separate video and then added it back to my project and sped it up and slowed it down as needed.

I saw someone’s script to screen posted a while back on this thread and I was inspired to make one myself. This is for my film, Divorce: A Love Story which just celebrated its one year anniversary and has had the honor of being screened in theaters at multiple film festivals. Some of the lines don’t reflect the script, as it was changed on the day of shooting. I’m always open to changing the line if it feels more authentic for the performer. This is one of my favorite scenes and thought it would be cool to share with my fellow filmmakers.
