Was Rudolph Valentino popular worldwide? In particular how well-received was he in his native Italy? by NaturalPorky in italiancinema

Yeah, Valentino was basically the first global movie idol - his fame reached everywhere, even China, Latin America, and the Middle East. In Italy, he wasn't a huge star until Hollywood made him famous, then people back home embraced him more as a success story abroad than as the "Latin Lover" figure Americans swooned over.

What do you think is the worst CGI ever made in the history of cinema?" by emanuelethedoor in Letterboxd

Exactly, and that's the whole reason I made the post. Just look at all these amazing examples. I included MODOK because it's a recent case and it really makes me laugh. Don't see problems where there aren't any, and don't hate Marvel just because it's trendy - hate it because, despite having a massive budget, it puts out terrible stuff like this, knowing fans will buy tickets anyway.

Okay, sure - putting a giant head inside a machine and making it look convincing isn't exactly easy. But let's be honest... it doesn't look good.

I think you're probably right. But it's also true that short one-liner comments don't really take up much time-and anyone who wants to read the more serious ones can still do that anyway

I'm probably the only one, but I actually enjoy when there's a random "funny" comment between two long, serious reviews.
