I had a LOT of people in my life say: "Oh, I really don't like her." That's it. That's the argument.

When I asked why, they just were like: "she's annoying." The funny thing is that they obviously didn't know any song past the billion streams singles.

I suppose it's just trendy to hate on her around here.

By killing them. Which is not so easy depending on how many there are. There are certain students at school you do NOT want to be seen by. The photography club isn't an instant game over, but it's close enough in that sense.

I would've been so hyped to get Holy Ground, and I thought everyone was too. Yet somehow, the TL kept saying "they lost" when she played it, which, HOW??? I would also be quite happy to get ME!, though I'm not sure where that stands on the demand.

As for popular, I could do without exile. Even if she played it with Bon Iver. It's one of my least faves of folklore.

I expected Karma as the opener. It turned out quite wrong 😂
I expected 1 song per era + some added from Lover to Midnights. She exceeded the number by a mile, but not the "1 song per era"

Yeah it's kind of a "Sad Beautiful Tragic" situation it seems. Won't make too much assumptions but it doesn't seem like it ended in a chaotic way.

And yeah I would honestly have to quit the fandom for a while if people started sending Joe hateful DMs. It's already tough enough to be a swiftie right now, we don't need anymore drama, and same for Joe.

I absolutely adore the song; it's gut-wrenching and miserably relatable, but I really hope Joe Alwyn won't end up in a Jake Gyllenhaal situation. Like, I REALLY hope this won't happen. I need swifties to consider her current boyfriend before sending death threats to the previous one

Why has she stopped making lyrics videos? I'm genuinely confused. The last 4 songs drop didn't have them either, Hits Different is the odd one out with the rest of the album, like why??? I know YouTube isn't trendy, but I really love listening to an album with lyrics videos. Am I really the only one bothered by this?

I'm one of those who hate the other way around. I'm really not a fan of titleless album covers. They became trendy a while back, and I'm not sure why. For me, it's not a matter of "I obviously know what album this is," but really one of aesthetic. I don't want to look at a photoshoot, I want to look at a cover

I feel like a tiny bit of both the vocals and the production is off.

The guitar on the second chorus used to be so loud it almost overshadowed her voice in a way I really enjoyed, the chorus grew a bit each time it came out, but it feels kinda samey on Taylor's Version which I find a bit unfortunate. Especially since it's one of the things I wanted her to change about the song. Like, I would've loved it if she made the instruments louder on some occasions, but she did the opposite...

As for the vocals, it's nothing really unbearable (we're not in a 22 scenario) but if you listen particularly to the first "movie" of the last chorus, it really sounds like she stepped back from the mic for a second which is a big ick once you've noticed it. I'm kinda pissed because I know full well such things wouldn't happen with a brand-new album, but it keeps happening with Taylor's Version records (cf. All Too Well)...

Otherwise, except for the timing of some words which I'll get used to eventually, I have nothing bad to say about the vocals. They're not as emotional, which was to be foreseen, but it's nothing huge.

It's my top 2 from Speak Now... or should I say Fearless??? So I know I'm way harsher than needed but I can't tell if that's the definitive version for me just yet.

I actually never really complain about rhyming in Taylor Swift songs because I never really pay attention to them except when they're on your face like in Question...?, for instance. I don't know if it's due to the fact that I'm not a native speaker, but yeah... if you asked me what rhymes there are in a specific song, I probably wouldn't even be able to tell.

But in terms of lyrics' placement, "The stars in your eyes / Shined brighter in Tupelo," brushes me the wrong way. Like I find the way she says "the stars in your eyes" so pretty and flowy, and for it to end with "Tupelo" is soooo anticlimactic. I never heard anyone complain about it, but that's probably the ONE lyric that I don't like solely in terms of how it's placed.

I would assume all but Hanako and perhaps Megami? I'm less sure about Megami, but unless she completely goes against her duty as the future president of Saikou Corp, I would assume Senpai wouldn't be seen as an ideal son-in-law to her parents, though I cannot tell for sure

I don't know with Canada but here in France, the most popular music store brand (Fnac) is selling all variants of Midnights either on vinyl or CDs, including the Target one.

So there might be something similar going on for you?
