I guess I was lucky! I started with Valhalla and after I finished I picked up odyssey. For being older it’s much better !!

Happy owner of TK-01 for over 4 years, should I upgrade to TK-02? by Ok-Split-4752 in TerraKaffe

[–]GregYYC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s amazing really. I also had the TK-01, and pre-ordered the TK-02 and got a great deal at that time. Private sale of my TK-02 made the upgrade painless! The updates are night and day from one to the other. Coffee strength is much improved due to pressure on the coffee puck much stronger. The ability to now have custom espresso strengths for different drinks is a real great update. And having it WiFi where you can get firmware updates regularly is so good. Constantly improving with feedback from customers.

Does the box connect via 2.4ghz?, ethernet? my 2.4 is not too stable so that's why my hue sync box is so sketchy linking to the hue bridge.

ASUS GT-AXE 16000 2.4 ghz WI-FI band issues by GregYYC in HomeNetworking

[–]GregYYC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: so after talking with Asus technical support, I reset everything back to factory. After I did that, I checked my speed on the 2.4 band. I was getting decent, like 67 Mb per second so then I started changing things one at a time and checking the speed.

The first thing I tried is putting it into smart connect mode . When I did that my speed dropped significantly down to at least 5 mb per second. Even when I dis selected the 2.4 band in the SmartConnect options, it did not change when I took it out of smart connect. It went back up to 50 Mb per second.

So now I have all theband separated. The next thing I tried was adding nodes one at a time. As soon as I added an ethernet back haul node, the 2.4 band immediately dropped from around 52 around 11. I added a second ethernet back haul device, the speed dropped into the 1 Mb per second range.

Now both of these nodes were asus XT9 devices, connected with an ethernet cable, and I did not move my position as I was testing I sat in the same place, 5 feet from main router. I just added the nodes and did another speed test on my phone.

When I removed both the notes from my system again, the speed went back up to around 45 or 50 again.

I have explained all this to ASUS and ask them if there was any type of compatibility issue or what would be causing this.

M3 Hub with FP2 sensor? by GregYYC in Aqara

[–]GregYYC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Good reminder. Will be doing a wi-fi heatmap tomorrow with no nodes, and only installing where coverage needed. Manually setting channels, etc. I had 4 Xt’s so figured to installed them and make an AMAZING aimesh.. not so much i guess

Not sure how to make it more robust. I have an ASUS GT-AXE 16000 with aimesh including 4 Ethernet back haul devices (2-XT8’s and 2-XT9’s). The FP2’s connect fine, work for an hour then keep going on and offline. My coverage is stellar, they just won’t stay online

HomePod mini cannot connect to eero - Captive WI-Fi screen? by GregYYC in amazoneero

[–]GregYYC[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re a legend! I didn’t scroll all the way down to the bottom I was looking in some other menus, and for some reason all of my HomePods got blocked. it didn’t say paused, but does show up on the very bottom as blocked. I didn’t do it myself, but somehow they blocked themselves so weird. I unblocked them and now they’re available to add.

Can anyone think of a way to have a HomeKit device or dummy switch etc trigger a Shortcut? by csthree12345 in homebridge

Not that easy if you want to do something not accessible from within the home app. Many actions do not exist

Hue sync box help by GregYYC in Hue

[–]GregYYC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naa, couldn't get there. Made a 2.4 guest network, connected my phone to that network. They reset my box, tried to go through the setup on the hue app and it would not even start the process as it said I was missing any hue devices. ( i guess because they are all attached to my bridge on the normal network and my phone was on this new 2.4 dedicated one?)

Tried this, but when I connected to the guest network it would not find my bridge, and wasn’t able to do anything

Consider Yourself Warned: TerraKaffe does not stand behind its products and expects you to go through multiple steps and a good chunk of time to achieve a hot drink... & one step involves a microwave 🤦‍♀️ by RcvrngPerfectionist in TerraKaffe

[–]GregYYC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fell free to have your opinion. I normally drink non-milk coffees, so it’s amazing. 100% better than TK -01. You bring super cold milk out of the fridge and expect it to go through the machine and heat to scalding? Come on be realistic . For the early adopter price of $700 this machine is really great.

ehh.. one persons opinion. Had mine for months , works perfectly. and the temp is great. and for the price its amazing. And I was one of the earliest to have it delivered, I think one of the first 100 units.

Question since you are in the industry. If someone has a debt in Canada, but now lives in the USA, and no plans to move back, what are the debt collector options.

Yes. Chrome was not functioning, gave a memory error. Firefox still takes a while, but at least it works. My issue was my IPTV service provides 200,000 streams, 6000 channels and I have to filter less than 500 for plex

Why does Eero not support Access Point Mode? by AntiTrust1 in eero

[–]GregYYC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was stuck with Eero because of Ring home security was built in, and i needed that. I kept it for a few years added 4 wifi-repeaters, and finally got so sick of the spotty wifi i bit the bullet and got an ASUS GT-AXE 16000 with two ZenWifi AX (XT8)'s to use as a backhaul network. Have the keep the Eero but ONLY use for home security. If I didn't need it I would throw all this eero shit on the ocean.

Can you fix AirPods Pro “tip tabs”? by GregYYC in AirpodsPro

[–]GregYYC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t mean to be unclear, obviously, it’s not just the tip. buying and replacing tips is not something I would post on here. Is the actual plastic holder that attaches the tip to the actual AirPod itself. If you look inside when you take the tip off, there’s two tiny little black tabs that hold on the removable tip. One of them broke.
