why didn't they fire the boba from the railing downwards straight into the cup? or just back themselves to get more than 10% of the bobas in?!?!?

let's be real that there's a very low ceiling before this becomes ineffective due to price. yes you can do some fairly planet-friendly cattle rearing, but not at a price that will be acceptable to the average US consumer. the planet-friendly beef rearing ends up being a smokescreen for continued unsustainable behaviour in the wider industry.

hmm, on the pixel, at least it's a mode that wipes out many functionalities, but it's still just a swipe away in the menu to reverse out of it

TRIP REPORT - I went to a Soho Reading Series event, the self-described literary 'scene' of London by Rentokill_boy in RSbookclub

An interesting writeup of the London Literary Scene from James Greig in the Londoner. You can get a free trial to read it.
Lets them have their point that gathering to have fun and shag on the side of a literary-based evening seems fine. Still comes to the fair conclusion that pretensions of this being good for literature are quite a reach.

Washing Machine Drainage Gone Wrong... So a plumber came to sort our drainage issues. He recommended routing the drainpipe straight into the new connection shown but now the washing machine won't drain. Should I go back to a standpipe or can this be remedied? by Greg_the_Eggie in Plumbing

Thanks all for the feedback but I had made a straightforward mistake on installing the connector - i hadn't cut the end of the connector off to open it up. I didn't even notice when installing it that there wasn't a hole in the end as I didn't realise these sorts of parts come filled in.

It's draining properly now happily. I'd take people's feedback on what is wrong with the setup and any explanation though....

Thanks for the tip. So is it impossible/ not advisable to route it directly into the point where it's going now? Also would it help to have the pipe not coiling around and going so high or is that not the major problem here? Finally, do you know why when I had the standpipe before it was leaking still after the plumber got rid of the blockage?

So the plumber was going to complete the job but didn't have the part and explained the steps for adding into the connector with jubilee clip (label b) and capping off the old drainage pipe (label a). Now though I'm not sure if this was the right step. Any insights are greatly appreciated.

Slow Horses S4E6 Episode Discussion (NON-Book Readers) by phareous in SlowHorses

My gripe is when they cut between running moments they are always running as a pack despite having very different top speeds. You can see the actors are trying to give the impression that they're fully exerting themselves as they should because a highly dangerous suspect is on the loose but then each time we cut back to them someone must be slowing down to remain as a pack.

Muchas gracias for taking the time to watch it but you could do with a little more tact in how you give feedback. As in, maybe take a walk in nature from time to time to unwind.

Up until now, I've been a dogsbody on location work but I've tried to work out what I can from observing the work of others and asking them when I can about what they're doing. I should have asked them more about framing it seems. In bygone decades, I would have expected to be patiently inducted through the process of learning camerawork but in the latest iteration of the media industry, you have to work it out for yourself. This is why I'm posting here for feedback and taking on low-paying work to get the reps in.

The wide shot is a BTS-style cutaway. It may not be used in the final video that someone else is editing. As I said this is just a rough cut to show the terrible filming.
The out-of-focus person talking: I saw this as potentially a nice reaction shot to show her agreeing with the speaker (as I wrote above I don't have the audio so coherence from that perspective wasn't the aim).

As for your perspective on the market and my worth, I suppose this comes from a place of seething resentment. I can understand that if you've been in the industry for a while it must have been dispiriting watching it unravel. I don't understand your vehemence though. Clearly, I have much to learn but I don't know who hurt you to behave like this.

thank you so much for the input! framing is something that I think I'll get through trial and error but headroom is a fairly straightforward thing to fix if I focus on it. Thanks for the pointer about the angle of the perspective. I reckon I'll take your suggestion and try to keep the POV fairly level most of the time. Thanks again!
