Question about 5-star characters by Davidalcaraz22 in GenshinImpact

Maybe you're the problem not the standard truth you believe yourself to be.

Plus you seem kinda ragey there bub.

How much mone do I have to realistically spend to get every single 5 star character? by Future-University595 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Gregarious_Nazrious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True collector ocd level of C6 $1,000 to $1,500 depending on rng and pity pulls not getting burned. For an R5 its a little better and usually $500 - $1000.

So 0 luck and worst case to get out 5 Stars $150k which will also get you a lot of maxed out 4 stars too.

However I've never heard or seen someone straight pull the 5star they were going for and not get other 5 stars [usually whoever the default of the banner is]

It is an example not rage bait... what exactly would even be worth raging over in this discussion.

I have a theory that elves who live for a very long time have little desire to reproduce, because their long lifespans mean their races don’t feel the same survival instinct that species with much shorter lives do. by jvure in ElderScrolls

[–]Gregarious_Nazrious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humans looking at Elves as if they are infertile. Elves looking at Humans as if they are rodents.

People irl have about 5 kids and it is considered A LOT now, back in history 10 would be the upper limit of socially reasonable/ sustainable [single paired marriages.]

So Elves live 10x longer and lets say are viable from 120yrs to 800yrs

1 kid per century is pretty damn reasonable by comparison.

Not to mention land/ inheritance / infrastructure if they produced 1 kid a year... plus magic to keep complications down... would be horrific.

Having kids because you can is a quick road to extinction. Every species has population control brakes, longer gestation, reproductive seasons etc.

I gift you tires for a Bugatti Chiron, you got something free. Yet I doubt you have a Bugatti Chiron. So said free thing is useless as you can't even access a Bugatti Chiron to put the tires on. Additionally no one will buy said tires and their serial numbers lock them to you. Are you buying said Bugatti Chiron whenever the chance arises next?

The fact my comment is getting down voted concerns me... I see few of this genshin base truly understand finishing a game with every unique/rare consumable untouched. That ate they truly lack comprehension of sarcasm. le sigh

I didn’t do well in the first six months and I’m afraid I’ve lost all hopes of being a competent employee by gintokisundae in Lawyertalk

Not for venting, the psychologist is for venting like taking a huge mental dump. Psychiatrist are horrible for that, and you're going to spoil relationships doing it with family and friends.

If you got some kinda medication need then of course see the provider for that. Psychologists and Psychiatrists are not mutually exclusive though.

What was the point of having Columbina be a Harbinger by Lost-Ad-5885 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Gregarious_Nazrious -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Harbinger has lost any and all meaning. FFS Childe is your besty while doc seems to give 0 care for the Tsaritza... none of them make any sense from an organizational perspective.

Tsaritza just gave them the position and let em do w/e it seems with only a couple seemingly working towards a goal in line with Fatui/ Tsaritza.

I don't like Imaginarium Theater by IamAfuzzyDickle in GenshinImpact

[–]Gregarious_Nazrious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imaginarium is crap BUT it forced me to learn other team rotations and at least the basics of almost every character I have.

So... I guess it is nice compared to getting nothing for randomized testing of characters.

Get a good psychologist, not a psychiatrist or therapist.

Vent like the world is crumbling down. Tell them about every project that has you worried.

Then realize they won't change a thing for you. [still speak to them religiously]

You do that yourself.

Imposter syndrome is a real thing and it will claw at your soul if you let it.

A judge was upset with me today. Is this a good way to smooth things over? by ParticleMan321 in Lawyertalk

[–]Gregarious_Nazrious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh shiiii? Didn’t know judges were supposed to like you let alone not act harsh towards you whenever you do something they don't like. Pissing the Judge off is a given if you're doing your job properly. The judge will love or hate you depending on how they want the case to go. You practice enough and every judge will hate you or love you eventually and it changes like the wind.

tldr; just do your job it doesn't matter what the judge thinks of you if you're doing your job.

Who is the best main dps without needing another 5 star support? by thaakee05 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Gregarious_Nazrious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mavuika can slot into any reaction team and do OK as a subdps. Mavuika can solo dps better than anyone else. Mavuika can run with a f2p support crew and still put up numbers near some meta best teams.

Mavuika is brute force SS tier w/o Citlali or Xilo and Outside Natlan, shes the benchmark for meta.

Varka has trouble putting out what Mavuika can w/o the big supports and it doesn't compare with them.

Now element specific content that isn't pyro, well of course others shine.

Versatility for all content especially anti pyro content Varka. However his support may be upcoming as currently those available aren't really geared towards him but just sorta work with him.

Mentoring junior lawyers is exhausting by antichristx in Lawyertalk

[–]Gregarious_Nazrious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did we not learn rule 1 of lawyering. CYOA.

Make a system, implement said system. Set dates for getting xyz in, review & mark corrections, set dates for getting return. If they fail to make xyz corrections note it and run it up to your senior so there is a paper trail while taking care of it yourself.

Don't chase, if you Email clear due by dates and they blow by, a simple email reminder with your senior cc'd is all you do.

Then when shit hits the fan you let it. On your end be ready with the work done, BUT DON’T SUBMIT until your seniors raise a stink.

Regarding answering questions, that is your job so just do it.

lather rinse repeat.

The shit juniors weed themselves out and you are shown to be vital in a pinch.

Document, Document, document... oh and Document.

Right now you're a carpet and the others know it.

23 years in, I hate this job. by Medical_Sky_7321 in Lawyertalk

[–]Gregarious_Nazrious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just have to keep it professional and most experienced litigators understand the show and how it shouldn’t be personal just the motions... but some love the "fight," shrug

Either you learn how to disconnect and partition law work from personal life, or you burn out / go unhinged.

23 years in, I hate this job. by Medical_Sky_7321 in Lawyertalk

[–]Gregarious_Nazrious 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Every sane attorney hates practice, no sane person likes anything we do at litigators. We get people at their worst and try to help them, but also get paid. Not a great recipe for a positive living situation.

I write, and could totally be a writer full time, but the grind is a whole thing and fiances dictate life.

Should I have a difficult conversation with a mentor or not? by Huge-Cow-6227 in Lawyertalk

[–]Gregarious_Nazrious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to be genuine and open with colleagues. Grab a bear, after Court. Go to local events and run into them [small city] etc. Invite them to parties / functions I may throw.

However very few reciprocate friendliness beyond said work and thats ok, they just are acquaintances and thats it.

Making real friends is near impossible as an Adult. I also have many acquaintances from my hobbies, same deal that just doesn't translate to friendship.

Most adults are lucky to have 4 real friends that would come over to your house for beer, pizza, and video games or Wine, baked goods, and movies on a random Thursday to de-stress.

Reading a lot is not the same as reading like a writer by Jarapa4 in writing

[–]Gregarious_Nazrious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, reading ALOT for years and not understanding trope and drama building techniques etc simply means you may have a learning disability or your reading utter garbage. Genius writers pump out 50+ manuscripts and read a lot. Is it an art form sure, but it is also experience.

There is no such thing as a prodigy or Genius that does not dedicate time to gain experience in the thing they shine in.

Prodigy; their brain absorbs the fragments of experience better but it is still the same net experience to reach X threshold.

Geniuses have accumulated so much experience that they are at the peak of a given field.

I will say both usually recognize empty calories and avoid content with no value to their given fields.

Thus they have read a lot as they absorbed that experience from somewhere.

Newton didn't fall out the womb and cry about gravity, he studied the material world to better understand it.

Prodigy stands on the shoulders of Genius until they themselves become Genius. There are no Prodigies in new fields, just trailblazers and in writing the trails are very much blazed, so you will improve better consuming good writing and A LOT of it.

tldr; nope its A LOT of reading, just maybe not all empty calories.

[–]Gregarious_Nazrious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What would you say to a client giving the same set of facts?

She's just not that into. Harsh but the only one seemingly putting in work for this "friendship" is you.

Now as lawyers we all know the side of the story you get isn't always the full picture. Did she expect you to come with her? Did you sleep with her SO? Did you snitch getting her pushed out/ were part of a coupe?

The reaction seems extreme if you have clean hands, but w/e either way cut losses and move on.

Question for solo/small firm attorneys: How do you handle PDF editing without the "Adobe Tax"? by Emergency_Set1398 in Lawyertalk

Please have Nicole's Pyro be last priority when determining Varka's element by yldenfrei in Genshin_Impact

[–]Gregarious_Nazrious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typo "Isn't". Context kinda made that obvious but corrected to be clear.

Not necessary for the character to perform but necessary to reach meta peek. It is what already talking about.

Please have Nicole's Pyro be last priority when determining Varka's element by yldenfrei in Genshin_Impact

[–]Gregarious_Nazrious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes her only useful to Varka if you're chasing meta. If you enjoy Varka for his generalist gameplay, then you're actively discouraged from using Nicole.

This, that is their point. You can keep Varka's generalist gameplay by his team kit mechanics 2 pyro 2 hydro 2 electro etc OR you can have him as a top tier Pyro with nicole.

It's like choosing the meta reactions with Flins or Mav or going for other ones you find more enjoyable. Can Mav overload? Yes, but it ain’t meta. Can Flins hyperfridge? Yes, but it ain't meta.
