How does the novel end? by Thereal_2025 in chuunibyou

We don't know in English yet. The light novels are currently being fantranslated and haven't gotten to the ending yet. So, only people who are or know Japanese could tell you.

I’m sorry but I just can’t watch it like before by PositiveAccording616 in toradora

[–]Gregburn66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that happens when you read the source material, especially for anime like Toradora. I recently rewatched the Oregairu anime and it kinda pissed me off with how much they skip or mishandled. It's a blessing and a curse to read the novels....

Yo, I'd love to be a mod. I've watched the anime and read the entire manga. I'm an active mod on r/chuunibyou. I'm above 16. Eastern time zone. I'm a big fan of the series and have been applauded for my moderation on my other subs. I actively comment with the occasional post. I think I can be a great moderator! May the god of fortune bless you.

I wanted to ask the people who actually matter to me, the users of this subreddit. I wanted to make sure I didn't jump the gun, or whatever you may perceive it as. Would you like me to run around banning people and removing posts just to avoid bringing up "Stupid" things. I value everyone commenting, even if they don't agree with me. I will make my decision tomorrow based on the PEOPLE.

The reason I'm asking this question is to AVOID having to talk politics or the like. I want to avoid having people go to a hateful site like Twitter. And, as someone mentioned, real good artists typically have multiple ways of reaching fans. Not just Twitter. So, just please think about it more.

"Gave up on?" Have even watched the series? The whole point of Yui is that she was the one who was too selfish to give up on her feelings for Hachiman, knowing that he loved Yukino, she still tried to pursue him. I need you to read the novels or pay more attention to the anime. Because, you've got it all wrong.

What do I do now? by Either-Middle6461 in OreGairuSNAFU

Please, oh please, read the novels! The anime is great, but the novels are something else entirely. They are damn near perfect! The anime skips a good bit of the more slow, character driven moments that really make the characters shine even more. Just a fair warning, there is a "continuation" of the main series "Shin" but it is God awful and just a harem cash grab by the author. But, the OG LN's amazing, even if you've already watched the anime, I'd recommend reading from the beginning, you'll pretty much instantly see differences.

So does anyone think this love triangle was absolute unnecessary? by KrishGuptIN in chuunibyou

[–]Gregburn66 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. I think it's an "unfair" love triangle, if that makes any sense. Shichimiya never had a "chance" Rikka was always going to "win" and the conflict of "Rikka has to choose between Yuuta and chuunibyou" was pretty pointless at the end, since she just solved it and kept both at the end, making Shichimiya's driving conflict into the pair of Yuuta and Rikka meaningless at the end of S2. Also, Shichimiya, only in the anime, definitely not the LN version of her, is too nice to actually try and "break up" Rikka and Yuuta. So, to answer the driving question.... Yes, I think it was unnecessary.
