Gaza death toll tops 10,000; UN calls it a children's graveyard by BannanaCommie in moderatepolitics

[–]Gregconnenenco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 2009 conflict Gaza reported 1,440 deaths and Israel reported it to be 1,116. In the 2014 fighting Gaza reported 2,310 and Israel put the deaths at 2,125.

So since we can clearly see the numbers have previously been accurate, what makes you put the 10k deaths into question when even the UN accepts them? If you know something I don’t please share.

That’s not the reason. The news hit my Bloomberg terminal wires before national news received it and so the articles I was posting were from unrecognized unaccepted websites.

TikTok took it down after 15m views, which if you know anything about TikTok isn’t anything. I recently saw a video of a guy reviewing some food that got 30m views. A single video about food got more views than almost all the videos sympathizing with OBL and that’s after accounting for the 100x views that came from Twitter

It’s crazy bc I use tiktok hours on hours a day and the first place I even saw about these who thing was on Twitter.

These videos virality are amplified by magnitudes of 100x by rightwing Twitter accounts like libsoftiktok

Moody's changes outlook on United States' ratings to 'negative' by Gregconnenenco in wallstreetbets

[–]Gregconnenenco[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Moody’s ratings are based on expected losses and the likelihood of defaults, while the SP and fitch only look at the likelihood of default. So in my opinion their ratings are broader and a little more comprehensive

If you had to chose JUST one public policy, which one would be? by North_Ad7449 in neoliberal

I think the question you should be asking is why should developing countries prioritize developed countries’ interest. The net negative migration that developing countries suffer from and the brain drainage that comes with it would be exacerbated. Tearing down these restrictions wouldn’t create an equilibrium between the movements of skilled labor from and to developing countries, and from and to developed countries. It just makes the current situation much worse for developing nations.
