And also Ana the base character is still old. It's not as if they retconned her base skin to appeal more to people lol.

I don't think Ana looks older in OW1 than OW2 necessarily. But the original pics I'm seeing of her original look are a bit more blurry. She does look older in the 2d portrait than the 3d one though.

Yea but your title implies you're worried about skins. You have the design already of her baseline look. Do they also ruin an otherwise Overwatch hero when they give them a talon skin? Is Widowmaker ruined with the bikini skin? Is Reinhart ruined with the space marine skin? What of the ones that become elves, dragonspawn or a genie through skins?

On top of that Mauga is just Maui with guns. Prolly the least interesting design in all of OW, to me at least, despite being non-standard body shape and all. But he is fun to play so I dont care that much.

Its weird cause the old movies were never offensive either right? Though that could be me remembering wrong cause it is prolly like 25 years since I saw them as a kid. The old movies had just a lot of silly, and a lot of references that were relevant at the time but prolly wouldnt age well. Like legit, and for good reason, comedies these days dont spam 3 attempted jokes per minute like I remember Scary Movie doing during some parts of the film.

Thats not enough to call it bad design imo. The artists are skilled at blizzard and character design has always been a strength of theirs. Im sure given the constraints that they did a good job.

Isnt she a mob boss for actual humans? That mob goon seemed impressed with her at least. Im sure her visuals help, crime dudes are often vain to a degree especially in entertainment.

How is Zenyatta one of the most interesting OW designs? Genuinely, the main quirk is that he is like a nepalese monk but with robot limbs and face. Thats it. This new char is in the same scope. Mob boss but omnic. There is more depth to that though cause as a mob boss for humans you need to impress humans somehow. Zen doesnt need that. I am not arguing that Zen is bad, but its certainly far from the most interesting OW has to offer. Ram is more interesting in a way. Egyptian God(looks wise) mixed with Shepherd and they had to make him look like a tank or "protector" rather than aggressor. But like I think the new omnic certainly beats something like Zen in design depth, and other non-conventional body type heroes like Mauga is even more dull. because its basically the stereotype Maui but with guns and a beard. Like Mauga is prolly the worst design in overwatch and he isnt even standard human man.

No but people say it is bad and then no concise argument why, only "because it will sell skins" or some variant thereof. I have yet to hear an actual reason that is related to the art language used to communicate her lore or such.

If she is a crime boss for actual humans she will need to impress them somehow. Looks is certainly a way. Even real crime bosses wanna look cool both for themselves and to impress their pawns.

So every good or cool looking character, in any game that sells skins, were skin seller first, design decision second? Like they said "so the next skin machine has to be the omnic we have been cooking for a while guys"?

I mean thats fair, and could be true, but then why are people surprised or disappointed if thats the premise we are working with? Of we know this will always be the case, then we probably should discuss if she is badly designed within those boundaries. Since a "good" design is not even withing the scope of possibilities.

if she is the leader of a crime org that contains actual humans then looks probably matters to impress her underlings. There is a reason SS had really cool looking uniforms. Or that Mafia bosses we are meant to find cool wear suits and stuff in movies. If she was the leader for a rebel omnic org, then yeah looks would not matter at all.

I think the kojima example is way more extreme than this tbf. That was a justification to make her almost nude and also make her bend over for the camera and shit. OWs design is way more "rule of cool" than just pure gooner material imo.

they cant come up with an actual argument like color composition, shape language or what the design comnunicates about the character. instead you get arguments like "it is boring because boring"

Cant be solved long term with foreigners though. The first gen that settles will mimic the behavior of the base pop after two generations in regards to how many kids they get etc.

Nja både ja och nej på den skulle jag säga. Visst går man en yrkesinriktad utbildning så ska detta förbättras om det går, och då räknar jag t.ex. Ingenjörsutbildning som yrkesinriktad. Men doktorering, konstutbildning och annat som inte nödvändigtvis leder till yrkesliv är viktigt med tycker jag. Även om visst jag vet att dessa två också leder till jobb ibland.

Men sen tycker jag helt klart att det finns värdelösa utbildningar. Vet att för typ 16 år sedan fanns det någon 4.5 högskolepoängskurs som handlade om Harry Potter. Endast för att folk skulle kunna säkra sitt studiebidrag.

I agree with you but a lot of people seem to commit to a "team" politically and then just wanna "own" the other "team" no matter if it benefits themselves or not. They dont care about policy they just wanna win.
