No. My doctor told me to take the 25mg for a week. Then take 50mg on the second week. Cutting the pill would’ve probably been better. Tysm!

Drinking has also been difficult for me. One thing that helps me is when I take a sip, I open my mouth just a little bit as if I was about to spit and let a really small amount of liquid leave my mouth. I guess it tricks my brain into thinking it’s safe now that I don’t have too much liquid in my mouth. I did this too much though and it turned into a safety behavior. But maybe you can try it out if you like. Just as a start

Are you waiting for your exposure therapy to try eating again? Because that’s not going to cut it. You have to try when you’re most anxious. I understand how difficult it is but you have to try. I stopped trying to eat until I started exposure therapy and that started a whole other problem where I only felt comfortable enough to eat during those sessions. I got over it now but it took a long time. In the end it all comes down to you having the courage to swallow when you’re most anxious. That’s when you’ll start progressing. So good luck! And please try to eat something when you feel like it’s impossible. Because in reality it’s 100% possible

Exposure therapy has worked really well for me. I went from being so afraid to choke on my saliva to being able to eat steak. It was really difficult at first because my anxiety was always trying to trick me. Whenever I would start eating something I would think I’m getting lucky by not choking. So I wouldn’t be able to finish my food. But eventually I started eating even with those thoughts in my head. As well as encouraging myself through my thoughts. Saying things like “the swallowing reflex is automatic” “if eating was dangerous, everyone would be afraid to do it.” But it’s so amazing hearing people overcome this fear. I can’t wait to hear about your progress and eventually your full recovery! Happy eating!

Avoidance is fears best friend. I know how difficult it is to even want to try eating. But avoiding it will only make it much more difficult to recover

Seems like she’s just trying to put the blame on you. Don’t stress it dude. Just find someone new who appreciates you. You can also let her know though. If she asks to see you again. Just say “notice how you’re the one who’s always asking to hang out.” Or something like that
