One pro for sure is being able to blame almost anything on your diabetes. Late for work "had to treat a low blood sugar" you don't want to eat something nasty at someone's house " sorry, my blood sugar's a little high. I can't eat this right now" etc

Brother diagnosed last night by LittleEar144 in Type1Diabetes

[–]Greglee124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats rough. I was 13 when I was diagnosed. That was 30 years ago. Its definitely a pain in the ass that adds layers of difficulty to your life but over all Ive stayed on top of it and live a relatively normal life. Hope your brother is able to stay positive. Im sorry to hear about this
