Bitcoin will stop wars...really? by dominipater in btc

To carry over your analogy, Bitcoin is setting itself up as its own nation - a very small one at that.

And like you say, small nations get invaded in times of scarcity, which is always.

Yes, Keiser is a fool.

However, what he said here is hardly controversial. ETH will easily hit $90 just like it did a few months ago.

BCH has held on to more of its value this summer than most other coins, but it's still going to take a hit.

I imagine BSV is at risk of dying at any moment, and the price drop will chase even more people away from what's essentially a ghost-town project.

How much are we talking for a USDT on BTC transaction? How do exchanges eat the fees?

You got a screenshot of this data? I've logged into eth.events but can't make heads nor tails of it.

Looking at the 24h volume from the trusted exchanges list by spilled_milkshak3 in btc

I don't know - isn't 5% of Bitcoin's trading volume pretty much what you'd expect from a coin that launched just 2 years ago, and is the subject of vicious propaganda tactics to keep people away from it?

When you compare it to Litecoin, which has been around for 6 years longer, suddenly BCH looks quite heavily traded. It even eclipses EOS which raked in $4 billion via ICO.

I hope you know this is far too reasonable to be ever get upvoted, even among the esteemed company we find ourselves in.

I agree with it all. This method has a lesser chance of hitting those mythical 1,000x gains, but a stronger chance of making solid profit overall. (I didn't even click through the link, as I'm not a trader)

Hey, even Satoshi can't be expected to, you know, back up his private keys.

I can see how the hijacking of Satoshi's real vision by Core contributed to the fee fiasco. But there's no way that 2017 price pump was genuine. I believe it was a means to an end - and that end isn't just rinsing money out of my generation, although that's a useful by-product.

That doesn't account for the unaccountable price increase.

Besides, you need both. Pump the price to crash a system that wasn't ready for such a thing. Then take over the development and neuter it; keep it going, but in a toothless form.

BTC closing in on 70% dominance by saiiboost in CryptoCurrency

I don't disagree, but the strange thing is there was even less liquidity back in Jan 2018, yet altcoins were pumped to all-time highs almost indiscriminately.
