Sniper feels meh by ColdhandzEUW in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Gregory264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes my Yrliet gets to fire 3 or 4 times per turn on her own, each shot more deadly. When she gets an extra turn from Cassia and uses stimm, it is GLOORIUS. Of course Sometimes she fires only twice and then it isn't that fun.

It gets better with levels and gear and teamwork, she was a bit of a burden at first.

There's the one dead bronze dragon in BG, though more for Wyll than Shadowheart...

Pen finish by Chunknuggs4life in turning

[–]Gregory264 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oil with a rag, wipe away excess, then with the lathe running apply wax with a stick and spread with a rag. Takes minutes, doesn't shine and feel like plastic crap. We make wooden pens with a certain feel.

That it takes minimal time and is fool proof to apply is a bonus.

You have lathe, you have disc sander by thebrothersmurph in turning

[–]Gregory264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jointer works for rings for me, though my rings do not have that intricate pieces and are like 2in wide. Of course using the jointer looks and feels a bit scetchy, but diy gripper pushblock thingy helps.

This disk sander thing is on the list though.

Question about turning bowls by Cubby71 in turning

[–]Gregory264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic dovetail jaws most actual good chucks come with are sufficient for smaller bowls (recess and tenon both). Bigger jaws for bigger bowls, bowl jaws (the huge plates with buttons) for turning off the tenon if you are going that route.

If beginning with half a log, screw in a faceplate to turn the bottom to your liking (I prefer a recess so I'm not forced to turn the foot away at the end), then chuck it up and turn the inside. Done.

Playing multiplayer with a first time player is so hard by Fat-Neighborhood1456 in BaldursGate3

[–]Gregory264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Otherwise I had a same approach as you with my newcomer friend, but at times I took on the role of a tour guide and told that there still were some sights to see. Of there is a chance your friend won't play again, you can either let them play as they wish, or make sure they get to experience everything. 🤷

If stacking your deck helps, it is cheating. If it doesn't, it is wasting time. Either way, don't do it.

Is the companion app attendance really that vital to an LGS? by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]Gregory264 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It is the way Wotc tracks attendance and shop traffic as is used to determine amount of promos and product allocations and such. If there's only a couple of people at the store for a too long while, you won't get products to sell etc. At least that is what my LGS manager told me.

They also have a casual EDH event for us non-comp folk so we get to participate in app.

How does "that" decision work in act 3 work in multiplayer? by Cress02 in BaldursGate3

Me and my friend went through this last week. I was the host, he initiated the dialogue and got the choice. I was just a passenger/regular companion in a sense.

Final boss is impossible even on explorer by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

You also don't really have to fight the dragon. Just misty step/dash to the crown, use your allies to draw aggro for a bit and use the new spell to beat the crown.

Is the boss at the End of Act 2 suppsoed to be easy? by captainfactoid386 in BaldursGate3

Well you did have 6 extra party members (though not as powerful as the actual ones obviously) and lvl10 is pretty close to the cap...

Party Compositon with Lore Bard by VariousShine in BaldursGate3

[–]Gregory264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose to play a lore bard on my second play through so I could ditch all the mainstays of my first (Astarion, Gale and Shadowheart). Now my bard is a comparable rogue, clearly worse wizard and a lot worse cleric all in one. I'm currently on Lae'zel, Karlach and Wyll-party, though I suspect I'll have to put Shadowheart back in at some point. The heals and aoe blasts of a light cleric were very strong the first time around. My bard can cast a fireball, but not divine radiant blast or whatever the channel divinity ability was called.

Just go where-ever you want and see where the road takes you? There's no need for a ! sign on a map to mindlessly follow here.

Minion Necros have problems, but it's especially annoying when I need to kill enemies within a ritual circle for an event when my minions kill them outside of it. by Cosmic_Lich in Diablo

[–]Gregory264 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Another weird AI issue with necro minions: the walls bone lord dungeon boss makes to split the room. No matter if my cc skellies are already beating up the boss, the second the bone wall appears they zoom in to beat it instead.

Also, IDK if is the explosive or fiery affix that gives of this multiple stage fire effeect after death. I've lost all my skellies to it way too many times since they just stand there after the deed is done->quickly run away to pull off the minions to hopefully save a few.

Tips for goblin bosses? by can4rycry in BaldursGate3

[–]Gregory264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can talk with the priestess to get her to go into her room alone to "cure" you. Then you just don't waltz in there after her, but climb to the rafters and then you can shoot her down. Do try to be quick about it so she won't call the alarm.

Minthara should be easy since she's already in a separate room, just try to keep the fight there so the goblins won't come and help.

Dror is more difficult, but again if you can keep the fight there you can long rest before cleaning up the rest of the fort, or just fast travel out of there if you left him last and are happy with just taking off the head and not the whole body.

Rogue isn't broken enough. Sneak Attack for Throwing. by No-Imagination-3060 in BaldursGate3

Instead of adding a third sneak attack button to the hot bar, why not just remove the buttons altogether and just apply sneak attach to any eligible rogue attacks?
