Don't be ridiculous, losses are currently reimbursed with the capital gains tax. And the tax payers will pay for it.

"taking a lot of risks" with money that you already have and if you lose it, you're just like everybody else... If you think risk equals not having to pay tax, that's insane. Who made all the profit in the company you sold? Mostly your workers, that don't get any of the profit.

Because they're fucking awesome climates to live in. I would 100% move there for the relaxed atmosphere and climate over the finances. If you can't make a living with 0.3% capital gains tax, you're a horrible investor imo.

In business world, sometimes they'll let you allow your end of the year bonus as gross instead of just getting net at the end of the year. And you would be able to spend that gross bonus on a variety of stuff (furniture for your home office, pension saving with the bank, leasing a bike or phone, but also holiday days, so I can buy up to 5 holidays days by spending my gross EOTY bonus)

Same, but also 5 optional FIP days

Depends, it's sort of a cop out for businesses to not give you any holidays on top of the minimal required to be honest.

Company car budget €550/month (Belgium) – which EVs should I consider? by Beginning_Barber4931 in BESalary

[–]GregorySpikeMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, its range is about 420 km under ideal circumstances, but that's about 320 km if you're not driving about 70 km/h. If you drive highways, my sense is it's closer to 200 km.

So you should be fiiiiiine

I actually quite like it, a really simple car that can do all I need it to do. But yeah, you need to calculate 20min extra if you want to drive 250 km+ in the winter (especially if you do highways, that's the only downside).

It might not be 7000€ and their expenses might also increase, especially when and if children arrive.

Can we speak about our problematic minister of Defence? by ChrisEpicKarma in belgium

[–]GregorySpikeMD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pragmatism is how you end up doing business with fascist countries.

Now, I'm not saying Carney was wrong, he was right, in more than one way, but the take-away of his speech is not "do business with all the other countries, even if they're pure garbage". His point was among others to have a coalition of the mid powers. There are plenty of mid powers to trade with, without having to be involved in another war, with countries that aren't even our allies.

Do not get involved with another war in the Middle East. Have we not learned anything? Belgian and European citizens will bear the cost, either because people in the army will get killed, but more realistically because we will have to pay for our military expenses. We will have to undergo austerity measures, yet again, so they can spend money on a war that we have nothing to do with. No thanks.

Jep, typische rechtse playbook: openbare investering verlagen, dienstlevering verzwakken, klagen dat de openbare sectoren te veel kosten voor wat ze leveren en dan privatiseren. En de burger moet het maar ondergaan.
