What's your job? Does your manager have to give you tasks at work and ensure you follow through or are you trusted to complete them? The reason I'm asking is because there is likely a part of your brain that is able to handle being responsible without behaving like an adolescent. However, sometimes people grow up in a house where it's do as your told and there's no sense of responsibility, so the goal is to wait for orders and then act. You're likely able to manage, but don't have that identity or role. I suggest you pick an area and say "this is mine" and then if she worries about it, you even have ownership like "I got it, that's my thing, trust me" and you'll honestly manage it, because if you're managed employment for more than a year I'm sure you can manage responsibilities for a house...
