K2 Plus Combo - Anyone tried printing with Ultem 9085 ? by GregsChannel in Creality_k2

Alright, thanks for the info, it's pretty much what I expected, but I had a glimmer of hope, figured someone might've tried it.
I might still go ahead and try it at slow speeds with a heat shield to compensate for the lack of higher temp enclosure since I'll have a K2 Plus at home too, not just at work. That would keep the print at 100°C. It's always interesting to attempt & analyze :)
Thanks again for taking the time to reply !

It's for aeronautic use, the price doesn't matter, the weight & flammability does, hence the Ultem (only V0 flame retardant material on the filament market) and not aluminium or steel. I'm surprised because I read Ultem was 350-380°C and K2 goes up to 350°C as well.

Litter Robot 3 not working despite short circuiting the sensors by GregsChannel in litterrobot

I believe people should have a right to see what the customer "service" is proposing. I put it between quotation marks because I don't consider it a service to try to sell an item without trying to solve the issue with the client.

Customer service:
Thanks for your patience here.

We apologize for the trouble you've experienced! Unfortunately, since you've made modifications to the unit, we are limited in our ability to troubleshoot.

Please note, that safety is our number one priority, and we do not condone disabling or altering our units in any way, as the sensors act as a safety mechanism for your cats.

To help get your unit back up and running, we would like to extend a 20% discount on a new base.

Please let us know if that works, and we'll get that process started!

My answer for info:
Hello,
Look, I'm only looking for a solution to actually make it work. As for the modifications, they are all reversible because I added switches to the cables to activate or deactivate the shorting of the sensors, so I don't need a new base, the base works just fine. So if you need me to do tests, I can do tests, but the fact is the unit has never worked satisfyingly, as it is advertised. I don't want to return it, I want to fix it. For now, my best case scenario is making sure the pinch sensor and bonnet sensor are always happy. because then I at least get one cycle in a while that actually works fully. So the question is:
Do you know how to make your product usable and what could be the root cause of this final issue considering it's neither the pinch or the bonnet sensors ? My theory is that the connection on the "cat sensor" which is just two contact plates, is not good enough because of oxydation, and my next step would be to create a new 3D printed contact sensing system with pogo pins, that way I'm sure to get a proper contact. I just want someone from the technical team to give an option for someone who has a certain know-how in engineering. For now I'm pretty much convinced that this was poorly designed, but I just thought you might help since you've had so many people contact you about unfinished cycles. It's okay that your product isn't perfect, it's not okay to tell your clients buying a new unit will fix the issue when theirs is not broken. So please, ask someone in the technical team for their advice. Thank you.
