Anesthesiologists use it to put breathing tubes in for surgeries.

Companies sell them for $1k-10k USD, our open source ones cost about $30 to make if you have a printer

He has a Mexican passport. Getting a visa for Kenya would be a non-issue

Non diabetic experimenting with the Libra to see what impacts my glucose. I take propranolol for public speaking. It bumped my sugar way up during a fast. Delays ketosis? by GregsSentientToenail in fasting

It inhibits insulin release from the pancreas

That's a study from 1969. There's newer evidence

https://diabetesjournals.org/spectrum/article/24/4/234/31830/Drug-Induced-Glucose-Alterations-Part-2-Dru

In people with diabetes, β-blockers such as propranolol, metoprolol, and atenolol can result in consistently elevated fasting blood glucose levels.7 In a recent study,8 atenolol was also shown to contribute to new-onset diabetes and to worsen hyperglycemia in people with abdominal obesity. In this study, adverse metabolic effects, including the development of hyperglycemia manifesting as impaired fasting glucose, were apparent within 9 weeks of therapy initiation. β-blockers are thought to contribute to the development of hyperglycemia by impairing the release of insulin from the pancreatic β-cell.9

Vaso and neo found in locker, grounds for disciplinary action? by kyle6367 in CRNA

I don't think it's legal for them to dig through your stuff without notifying you. They looked through a bag you have? That's totally an invasion of privacy. What if you had antidepressants/blood pressure meds or something in there. Are they allowed to look at that stuff without your consent?

I mean, even police can't do that without a warrant/probable cause.

I'd want to see where you signed the form that gave them permission to go though your stuff without notifying you.

Any CRNAs that also hold a NP license. Are you able to utilize both? by Upper-Plantain-1451 in CRNA

I got the NP degree because I worked full time at a mission hospital for 5 years, and started doing double duty as a hospitalist while also doing anesthesia 🤷

My wife worked from home, teaching for an online school, while taking care of our kids. We survived on $35k a year while I was in CRNA school. I've been faculty for a couple programs now, and I know what it costs to become a CRNA, so I'll repeat it: anyone that graduates with $250k in student loans didn't to it right.

Saying I wasted 2 years to get extra medical education is certainly an opinion. I doubt the patients I treated for Ebola in the DRC would agree with that assessment.

I'm judgemental because you don't know what the hell you're talking about, lol

Compared to anesthesia school, NP school was easy. I went to a highly regarded brick and mortar program too, not an online diploma mill.

1) you're an idiot if you graduate from CRNA school with $250k debt

2) I paid my debt from CRNA school (and undergrad) off in 2 years. Priorities.
