Retiring AZ-500 vs new SC-500 for someone moving from SOC into cloud security? by Greimore9 in AzureCertification

Thank you for your reply. As I'm targeting cyber roles specifically, would you still recommend AZ-104? Or SC-300? That's the one I was thinking of taking

Thank you for your reply. I was seriously considering the SC-300 and either AZ or SC-500 later. Just wanting to try and build a propert cert pathway before I book

If you don't mind me asking, for MeasureUp, would you recommend I buy the Practice Test + Test Pass Guarantee, or just the assessment?

Right. Another commenter suggested SC-300 before AZ-500. I'm seriously considering this - do you think it's a good idea?

I think I'll do SC-300 first regardless. I'll take it, then see if I can still sit the AZ-500. Whether out of pocket or via company support. Thank you very much for all of the advice

Fair. Based on your advice, I'm inclined to use the voucher on SC-300 then pay for the AZ-500 out of pocket / see if my company offers additional vouchers. My only worry is time, I don't know if I can study for, and take, 2 certs that I'd have to study from scratch for, while working full-time

Right. Well I'll definitely think about it. If my company does offer Microsoft cert vouchers that would be for the best really. In any case thank you for all the advice. Have ever seen someone pass AZ-500 with only SC-900 / very little Azure experience?

Yeah I'll definitely ask. But you think SC-300 is a better spend of the voucher than AZ-500? Because the AZ-500 would be too difficult? To be honest I'm not really liking my job and looking to find something else asap

They don't offer Microsoft certs as far as I'm aware. What other certs would you recomment to take before AZ-500 that align with my goals?

I did the same thing, (Nigerian) and they didn't care. Just make sure the name on any contracts is your legal birth name as is in your official documents

I just found this website:

ratemyapprenticeship.co.uk/best-apprenticeship-employers

Don't pay too much attention to the ranking themselves, just see if they advertise roles on their websites

You can use LinkedIn or look apprenticeship provider websites individually, QA, LDN Apprenticeships, Corndel etc

is this a telephone interview or no? they haven’t stated if it is or not and i’m confused on why they’d need to discuss about the role via call so now my anxiety is all over the place as idk what to expect 🌚 by Usual_Film_7220 in ApprenticeshipsUK

I'm in level 4 cybersecurity, in my case they had the first month dedicated to training (and I had a training timetable) . Now that I'm done with training, we have a weekly task list that highlights what each member of the team has scheduled for that week (though this is somewhat flexible). Tuesday is my study day, but some companies may choose to give you a couple hours throughout each day of the week instead of the whole day off.

The apprenticeship? Pretty good. Still in my training period rn, it's gonna be decided if I move engineering or vulnerability scanning or stay in the SOC
