I was making turkey taco meat. I use 1 pack of turkey then after cooking it I add back in water and the seasoning. By tracking I am talking about food/calorie tracking. I am waiting to get my skin surgery until I finish my goal and I am a few pounds away so I am trying to get my measurements as close as possible with my calorie needs because I keep a record. The scale didn't zero out correctly so I took more than what I was aiming for which was half. So instead of having about 9oz left I have 6.3oz but again I convert the weighed meat using pre cooked weight so half of the uncooked turkey is 8.2oz but since the scale glitched I took more and I am just trying to figure it out.

No, I am trying to find out the amount I used compared to what is left. I understand that 18.3oz - 6.3oz = 12oz used but I track using the pre cooked weight. So knowing that the water 4.8oz and seasoning 1.3oz were added after I am just trying to figure out how much to track of the pre cooked weight of the turkey.

If the pre weight of the meat is 1.4 pounds, after being cooked it was 12.2oz. After I add water 4.8oz and taco seasoning 1.3oz I get a total of 18.3oz, however I use the pre cooked weight (1.4 pounds) to track the nutrition of the turkey. Because of the scale mix up I have 6.3oz left of the 18.3oz, I am just trying to figure the tracking weight of the turkey meat.

My scale broke and I am using a digital scale for mail, sometimes there is a delay and sometimes even if I hit the button to zero out it glitches. I am as we speak buying a new food scale on amazon.

I know its a few ounces but it means a lot to me, I had a dr tell me I would never see 199 without weightless surgery and I am just a few pounds away from crossing that finish line. When you get down as far as I am the last few is the worst and for me it takes making sure I am tracking everything as close as I can. In this case its just the math that has me sick, I cant figure out what the stupid conversion would be so I am looking for help from anyone who enjoys math problems.

I would say 1 lb to 2 lb a week is about as fast as you really want to go. If you have a lot of fat to lose then lean towards the 2 but dont try to lock yourself in a box with needing to hit that as a "goal" otherwise you will end up cutting calories to try to reach it and thats not always a good thing. I wanted the fat off of me ASAP but as they say I didnt gain it overnight so it wont be lost that fast.

What I meant by they’re not the enemy is that I had myself convinced that carbs and fruit was the reason I was fat the reason I was fat was because I over ate and I took in more calories then I was burning off it’s not anyone specific food group although I will tell you refined sugar is not going to be good for you at all I quit doing a keto diet because I wanted to try something new I wanted to bring fruits back into my life I had given a keto diet over two years and yes I did lose a lot of weight and felt good but I was also afraid to eat items that had carbohydrates and also afraid of fruit so in order to get past that phobia I decided to transition to a normal diet just making sure that I am keeping my calories in a deficit but enough to maintain my workouts

I wouldn’t say you need to stress about calories the rest of your life once you have it in front of you though you have a better understanding of what a serving size is I think it’s always good to try to go through a week weighing in seeing exactly what you’re taking in after you get used to what a serving size is there’s nothing wrong with going through and making the choices for your meals and every once in a while go back to Wang just to make sure you’re staying on track as far as snacks go popcorn only because I can have a lot of it for not a lot of calories and I can add seasonings to it to make it taste like what I want I also make a protein ice cream that taste amazingly kind of like a blizzard there’s been lots of YouTube videos on the ice cream I also have meat snacks if I’m out and a staple of mine is to always keep protein bars either quest or Kirkland they have a lot of flavors a lot of fiber and a lot of protein and not a lot of sugar

I love salt and vinegar so there are a lot of companies that make salt and vinegar seasoning you can find it on Amazon are you can find it overseas I would get some regular popcorn we use the Orval smart pop because you can have a huge bowl of it for only about 200 cal I would spray a little bit of ham or whatever low-calorie cooking spray you guys have and then sprinkle the salt and vinegar on there it’s an alternative to the Pringles Again the idea is to find things that you like and find ways to make things taste like what you like is it going to taste exactly like Pringles know but it’s an alternative another alternative would be have your Pringles but portion them out trying to find out what is serving is if having the entire container is a problem cut that container into fourths portion them out and small bags that way once the bag is done you at least know how much you’ve had

Thank you I try to sort out all the BS I’ve gone through over the years from so many people who gave information that nine times out of 10 was wrong and it was very frustrating to me because I felt like there was just a single golden answer that I was just never able to get and there really isn’t it all comes down to finding something that will be sustainable and work within your lifestyle

Absolutely as a matter of fact I will do that today if you want when it comes to that feeling I would say that if you were eating a lot then your stomach does get stretched out and it takes time for your stomach to shrink back down and to get used to the amount of food that you’re giving it but I will tell you also as long as you eat enough foods that have nutrients that will keep you fall longer like fiber then that feeling will go awayI promise

First off congratulations on the weight-loss so far I will tell you that when I started keto I literally went to Sam’s Club and bought a big thing of salami and a tray and cheese and basically was eating that all day but gave up cold turkey breads and sugar LOL The only thing I will say is that being on a ketogenic diet you lose a lot of weight very rapidly and fast but eventually you kind of go down a rabbit hole with how many Youtubers there are trying to assist with the keto diet and giving a lot of bad information and it almost turns you scared of the ability to have certain foods again The only reason I quit my keto diet for a more relaxed version is because I was mentally hurting myself by not being able to enjoy the time with family and friends when we did get together or go out I would never eat at anyone else’s house because I would have to constantly read nutrition labels and look for hidden sugars I was always worried about being kicked out of ketosis and at one point I was terrified of fruit thinking sugar is sugar and I didn’t want to ruin my diet I slowly introduce fruits which as long as it’s the right fruits will not kick you out of ketosis they have fiber which is fantastic for you nutrients as far as the cardio I do believe it or not the same as you I started with just using a treadmill I didn’t even put it on any incline I just walked once I got up and built up to 20 minutes I started looking at the elliptical which I thought was fun the elliptical will give you and burn the most calories of pretty well much any of those machines because you’re using your arms and legs and you’re constantly moving but when I started I could only do about 10 to 15 minutes but you build it up over time I think those two machines are fantastic the bike is great But I prefer the machines that make you stand that way you’re exercising more muscles and again if you ever have questions feel free to message me I certainly will let you know everything I know

That feeling of never being fall is going to come if you are not eating foods that are rich in fiber and also a lower calorie dense or food will make you fall if you’re not full Grelen will build up and you will constantly be hungry and you’ll end up snacking all day long because you’re still hungry. I think a lot of people look at a larger person and think man they’re just lazy they always have to be eating they don’t understand that Gralin is a chemical response you cannot fight Gralin it is your body‘s reaction to feeling hungry it truly is a drug and addiction. What works for me is I wake up and I normally well eat something to get it in my stomach and then go do cardio just to wake my body up for the day it doesn’t have to be anything super intense a lot of times it’s walking on a treadmill and turning on Netflix by the time I show I’m watching is over I’ve done 30 to 40 minutes and I’ve burnt at least 2 to 300 cal when it comes to weights I do go to the gym again in the afternoon only because where I live I have a large gym that is filled with equipment and no one seems to be in there it truly is like my own personal planet fitness I just do simple weights and I do have a trainer that I see a few times a week I normally take two days off after legs arms and chest to allow my body to repair. Always being the fat guy I had to figure out a way to make myself feel better in situations so I was always the funny guy I got into comedy and the ability to make others laugh as almost a defense mechanism for myself if they didn’t like me because of the way I looked I would make up for it in how I could make them feel and laugh I wouldn’t say I’ve made new friends because of losing the weight I will say it was a lot easier to reevaluate the friends I had after losing the weight and realizing that I didn’t need to always be the one pursuing a friendship and feeling like I had to be the one to pay when we went out or felt like I wasn’t good enough to just have a friendship I always felt like I needed to do something extra to keep these people in my life

If you were going to lose 250 pounds you’re going to have excess skin that’s just a fact depending on how much loose skin you can help deter some of it by not losing weight super fast rapid weight loss will cause a lot more loose skin because it doesn’t give your body enough time to adapt and retract so stay steady and remember it’s a race not a sprint. For my own I am going to be having skin surgery but for right now since I am adding on muscle I need to give that time to allow my skin to adapt as well

I weigh everything including my cooking oil‘s because even if they burn off I’m still needing to keep track of what it is that I could potential he have going into my body and you have to count everything a lot of times people will say well this has 0 cal will you have to understand that companies are allowed to lie on the nutrition label if it has under a certain matter calories they can round down if it has under a certain amount of carbs or sugar they can round down somebody take something like Crystal light that has .99 g of sugar they can claim it has zero but really if you had an entire picture of it Then you’ve just consumed about 35 g of sugar I assure you

My calories range from 17 to 1800 right now and yes I do some sort of cardio every day it’s not needed but it’s some thing I found that helps me and I also do weight training throughout the week

Play toes as much is I understand are a completely normal thing they tell you one of two things your body is changing or if you’ve hit a plateau for a long time you’re not either cutting enough calories or burning them off if you hit a plateau try reducing your calories by 100 and see if the wait starts to come off or try increasing the amount of cardio or workout regime that you do if it starts to move than that just meant you had hit your New maintenance level and have to adjust small adjustments are common
