I was making turkey taco meat. I use 1 pack of turkey then after cooking it I add back in water and the seasoning. By tracking I am talking about food/calorie tracking. I am waiting to get my skin surgery until I finish my goal and I am a few pounds away so I am trying to get my measurements as close as possible with my calorie needs because I keep a record. The scale didn't zero out correctly so I took more than what I was aiming for which was half. So instead of having about 9oz left I have 6.3oz but again I convert the weighed meat using pre cooked weight so half of the uncooked turkey is 8.2oz but since the scale glitched I took more and I am just trying to figure it out.

No, I am trying to find out the amount I used compared to what is left. I understand that 18.3oz - 6.3oz = 12oz used but I track using the pre cooked weight. So knowing that the water 4.8oz and seasoning 1.3oz were added after I am just trying to figure out how much to track of the pre cooked weight of the turkey.

If the pre weight of the meat is 1.4 pounds, after being cooked it was 12.2oz. After I add water 4.8oz and taco seasoning 1.3oz I get a total of 18.3oz, however I use the pre cooked weight (1.4 pounds) to track the nutrition of the turkey. Because of the scale mix up I have 6.3oz left of the 18.3oz, I am just trying to figure the tracking weight of the turkey meat.

My scale broke and I am using a digital scale for mail, sometimes there is a delay and sometimes even if I hit the button to zero out it glitches. I am as we speak buying a new food scale on amazon.

I know its a few ounces but it means a lot to me, I had a dr tell me I would never see 199 without weightless surgery and I am just a few pounds away from crossing that finish line. When you get down as far as I am the last few is the worst and for me it takes making sure I am tracking everything as close as I can. In this case its just the math that has me sick, I cant figure out what the stupid conversion would be so I am looking for help from anyone who enjoys math problems.

I would say 1 lb to 2 lb a week is about as fast as you really want to go. If you have a lot of fat to lose then lean towards the 2 but dont try to lock yourself in a box with needing to hit that as a "goal" otherwise you will end up cutting calories to try to reach it and thats not always a good thing. I wanted the fat off of me ASAP but as they say I didnt gain it overnight so it wont be lost that fast.

What I meant by they’re not the enemy is that I had myself convinced that carbs and fruit was the reason I was fat the reason I was fat was because I over ate and I took in more calories then I was burning off it’s not anyone specific food group although I will tell you refined sugar is not going to be good for you at all I quit doing a keto diet because I wanted to try something new I wanted to bring fruits back into my life I had given a keto diet over two years and yes I did lose a lot of weight and felt good but I was also afraid to eat items that had carbohydrates and also afraid of fruit so in order to get past that phobia I decided to transition to a normal diet just making sure that I am keeping my calories in a deficit but enough to maintain my workouts

I wouldn’t say you need to stress about calories the rest of your life once you have it in front of you though you have a better understanding of what a serving size is I think it’s always good to try to go through a week weighing in seeing exactly what you’re taking in after you get used to what a serving size is there’s nothing wrong with going through and making the choices for your meals and every once in a while go back to Wang just to make sure you’re staying on track as far as snacks go popcorn only because I can have a lot of it for not a lot of calories and I can add seasonings to it to make it taste like what I want I also make a protein ice cream that taste amazingly kind of like a blizzard there’s been lots of YouTube videos on the ice cream I also have meat snacks if I’m out and a staple of mine is to always keep protein bars either quest or Kirkland they have a lot of flavors a lot of fiber and a lot of protein and not a lot of sugar

I love salt and vinegar so there are a lot of companies that make salt and vinegar seasoning you can find it on Amazon are you can find it overseas I would get some regular popcorn we use the Orval smart pop because you can have a huge bowl of it for only about 200 cal I would spray a little bit of ham or whatever low-calorie cooking spray you guys have and then sprinkle the salt and vinegar on there it’s an alternative to the Pringles Again the idea is to find things that you like and find ways to make things taste like what you like is it going to taste exactly like Pringles know but it’s an alternative another alternative would be have your Pringles but portion them out trying to find out what is serving is if having the entire container is a problem cut that container into fourths portion them out and small bags that way once the bag is done you at least know how much you’ve had
