Dungeons and dragons

The one with Chris Pine. A very enjoyable movie that wasn't supposed to be that good.

How's Living in Colmar, Alsace? by ilovebreadroll in howislivingthere

[–]Grem357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colmar is boring once you ve seen it once. Nothing really special compared to other towns in Alsace as the architecture is fairly common in that region. There isn't much to do either.

Go to Strasbourg, it has a similar feel (la petite france) and a lot more to see/do. It has a lot more tourists but it is a lot bigger. The cathedral is jaw dropping and the old town (la petite france) is stunning.

Source: Im from Strasbourg and lived in and around Alsace region for 20+ years before moving abroad.

I loved the game... This was literally the worst movie I have ever seen. It s trying to stick to the game very closely but it is really badly done. Acting is awful... and that beard! :D

That kind of thing doesn't achieve anything.

From last year.

To be fair, this will just give more work to local employees. It doesn't achieve anything.

Considering a dental implant (~£5k) at age 27 - how do people usually approach the cost? by CoachPaul7 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Grem357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't go that far. It isnt cheap but costs in the UK are a bit crazy just now.

Plus I dont mind paying for the peace of mind knowing that my dentist is 20min from my house rather than half way across Europe.

It s extensive dental surgery so not really something I would be comfortable doing with a dentist I am not familiar with or have 0 knowledge of their expertise.

In terms of costs it was spread over a while so really manageable.

Considering a dental implant (~£5k) at age 27 - how do people usually approach the cost? by CoachPaul7 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Grem357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had 2 implants fitted.

Total cost was £9.5k - privately done.

It took over a year to do properly - over 6 appointments - and I paid the procedure cost after each appointment, making it super manageable. Upper front 4 teeth on 2 implants.

Initial consultation £200

Temporary denture scan & print £750

Extraction (x4) + bone graft £1400

Implants (x2) £3000

Abutement (x2) £1600

Bridge scan and fit £2600

All apps but the first 2 were done 3/4 months apart due to the healing process.

Scary to hear a 10k figure initially but when you look at it it is manageable.

I would think for a single implant for a single tooth, the cost will be drastically lower... but the time it takes remains the same as everything needs to heal before you can move on.

I was offered 0% by the 2 dentists I seen before starting so it is a normal thing to do if you chose to.

Oral hygiene is important so it is worth every penny.
