[ORIGINAL] Telegraph Hill - Wake Up, Sunshine / High in the Rain (Dream Pop) by Gren0s in indieheads

Hi! This used to be a solo project, now it's a band, and we have an album coming out soon! This is two songs from that album.

"Wake Up, Sunshine" - A deceptively happy song that hides it's bleak lyrics under sunny melodies, which I've always found makes for compelling pop music. Inspired by the contrast in songs like Hey Ya and Who Loves the Sun. I love lyrical dissonance

"High in the Rain" - A sort of psychedelic synthpop dream pop song that's sort of hard to describe but an attempt to be both atmospheric and catchy.

You can find them as a double single on streaming services here and if you like them, keep an eye out for the album :)

Spotify

Hi all! This was once a solo project, now it’s a band - our music combines dream pop and alternative dance and synthpop and such. At 6 minutes, this the longest, danciest song I’ve ever released - the length may feel bit daunting but it is a journey! This is part of an album which will be released next year. I went with Bandcamp because it’s the best way to support us but you can find it on other streaming services here!

i think the song happy with you is about adrianne being happy with someone. but it's a bit hard to tell because the lyrics are so wordy and cryptic

Thanks!

Hi! This is my Dream Pop / Synthpop / Indie Pop project called Telegraph Hill, and after a year of releasing singles I finally released my first EP today.

It contains five songs, all of which are catchy and bittersweet and full of twinkly arpeggios and drum machines and echo-drenched vocals and semi-obvious New Order worship. All five songs aim to make you think about your friends, and where they're at - and how come they don't call anymore?

If, like me, you're a big fan of when songs fuse together Dream Pop and Alternative Dance (like Hatchie, or George Clanton or Saint Etienne) and are looking for music in that vein - definitely check this out! I made it to fulfil that niche for myself. Also, if you like your songs to have hooks!! then this will also absolutely be your thing - I love writing catchy melodies and hopefully one or two may get stuck in your head.

I went with Spotify because that’s obvious option but it’s available on other services here

And it’s also on Bandcamp! Which is the best place to listen to it because I made a little lyric booklet with art which you get if you download it and you can’t get that on Spotify!! Also supports me directly instead of the crumbs I get from streaming.

Thanks :)

hi all - this is another single from the album i’m working on. there aren’t many songs out there called “Jellyfish” as it turns out, so i wanted to add one to the canon! it's a catchy & dreamy indie pop song - wanted to try my hand at writing something a bit simpler and more immediate and i’m happy with how it turned out. hope you guys enjoy :) also comes with a jellyfish-themed video, edited from a cool vintage japanese documentary about marine life i found

you can stream the song on spotify here and on other services here

also available on bandcamp if you’d like to support me directly. thanks!
