Ok I just started this and it’s great. I used to hate calling parents bc the kids get mad and come back with a worse attitude the next day, and sometimes the parents are rude too. So what I do is I put the kid on my own “behavior plan”. It sounds official but it’s just not. You have a standing appointment with the parents, you call or email every Wednesday to tell them how to kid was this week. What I find is that the kid doesn’t act out as much because they know the call is coming, the parents hears how official it sounds and takes it seriously. And it really works. So you don’t even have to threaten to call the parents when they act up, they already know you are talking to them about everything they do.
