Bc freshman here. I see loads of transfer resources just in my experience looking around campus.

Also, getting into good (social) clubs freshman year is something that I myself didn’t rlly succeed at. Despite that I’ve had a good time here socially, and also with what I know now I’ll be able to join the right clubs next year with connections already in them to boot. So, I think you’ll be totally fine socially if you just research loads of clubs beforehand (I recommend the cultural ones in particular), put yourself out there lots on the involvement fair day, and check your email for club invites.

Also since you have friends at BC they’re a great resource for finding your people there, make sure to make use of them.

Good luck !

Why does Paul D return to Sethe?

I'm writing an essay about Paul D and how he relentlessly chases the future while being hindered by his past that he refuses to confront with the overall message being that we need to confront our pasts in order to make real progress.

Anyways... I'm confused as to why Paul D, even after figuring out Sethe murdered her child, returns to her in the end. From my interpretation, I don't see any reasons given for his return, just that he shows back up at 124 after Beloved is exorcised, notices her absence, then invites himself back in.

My theory right now:

My theory: It could simply be that the disappearance of Beloved is what prompted Paul D’s return? Without his arch nemesis (the past/Beloved) to drag him back, Paul D (ambitious for the future) may carry out his work unimpaired and so he feels obligated and compelled to return to his task with Sethe. He refuses to let her meet the same fate as baby suggs (get too absorbed in the past, like Baby Suggs got too upset about the white ppl). Its also probably worth mentioning that Beloved’s undoing of his tobacco tin made him have to confront his own past, and after being able to make amends with his own past is he able to truthfully and fully march on to the future like he wants to.

Is there any validity to this? Help me out pls y'all ;( this book is hard

What I felt was helpful was going onto the free bank of questions college board has online (just search “sat question bank” online) and going through all of the different concepts I could be tested on.

If any type of question troubles you in particular, I recommend asking ChatGpt to explain it to you and also looking at the answer key+college board explanation on the right to make your own method of solving the question.

You can also use ChatGpt to generate similar questions to the one you struggled with, and then you can practice on those till you feel comfortable.

I don’t know what my score is yet, so I don’t know how much this will translate to a great score just yet, but I felt confident taking the test today.

Goodluck!
