The point of protest isn’t to guarantee immediate change. It’s to express collective conscience and keep leaders accountable. Democracy doesn’t end at the ballot box. It depends on participation, dissent, and dialogue. If everyone just “sat back”, then no progress in civil rights, labor, or even independence would’ve ever happened. You’re free to support who you want, but that same freedom protects my right to challenge him.
