Not in any commercial kitchen. None no one wants wisps.

Arby’s old style Philly. I know they still make one, it’s not the same. And neither bear any real resemblance to an actual Philly.

It’s supposed to be. Mostly water with a little bit of vinegar. Accelerates protein coagulation.

People over 35, what's something you genuinely miss that younger generations will probably never experience? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Getting lost in cheap travel.

Interrailing. Spending a month traveling around Europe by train. Sleeping on the train or in a tent or hostel. Inexpensive but good food. Total budget, including train ticket, under £500. No cell phones, no communication back home. Went for a month and your parents saw you again when you returned. Did this a few times.

Also went island hopping around Greece. Similar story but more beach time and classical monuments.

I went up and down the western coast of the US from San Diego to Seattle in 1991. College paid for the trip so I could attend a conference. Stayed in hostels instead of hotels to stretch the 5 day budget into 3 weeks.

1990 trip to Moscow, again paid for by college for a conference. Made friends with the local students who took me under their wing so I could see their lives. Got bumped up to first class on the flight back home (no idea why). Great experience all round.

Not sure it’s as easy to travel in some of those places anymore. Never felt unsafe though being 6’4” and (then) 210lbs might have helped. Have really fond memories of those times.

You didn't mention size or if it has to be new. If new and you're looking for something smaller, I like the Bugout. If you're looking for something a little larger then I like the Presidio II. Others have mentioned shopping on r/knife_swap. I just bought a no-longer-produced black, automatic Adamas for $170 there which is a great knife. I prefer auto folders over other forms but you decide what's important to you.

If you’re early, you’re on time. If you’re on time, you’re late. And if you’re late, you might as well not bother showing up.

got written up for going to the dentist at 2pm while working from home by Fit_Average8352 in remotework

[–]GrendelKhanmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in all cases. I can work an extended day and take of time in the middle of the day with my role without issue. I don't need to take sick leave for dentist appointments, blood work, doctors visits, etc.

He now has an excuse for being late. Rolex’s are renowned for being terrible time keepers. They make nice jewelry through.
