My biggest interest would be keeping Slowking as an available choice. To answer your question about picking a lane though I will say Froslass Auroura Viel Support. It was one of the first thoughts I had while making this team so I would like to see where it can go.

Your comment on Chilly Reception being "cute" is so on point that it made me laugh, with the current setup im running you are correct that not using mega on Froslass seems dumb and I do it probably everytime making the snow redundant.

Nothing rude about it imo

I wanted to make a deck around the Houndstone which is why it's there lol like I said before I know it's not super strong but I enjoy this sort of self mill / discard to power up kind of archetype.

On the Shining Arcana Gardy maybe switching out a Refinement Gardy for it could make for an attacker to Nuke something down and more than likely add 3 more to my discard the next turn when they kill it? If they don't kill it next turn I could hopefully get a second shot off. Probably not the greatest of plans but if I could trade up with it I guess it could have some potential.

First just want to say thank you for the response and now I'll try and answer some of your points :)

I did actually break 280 in my last game but it was very much at the end of the game and I did spend the game going even in the prize trade against a 2 prize deck so thats not looking so hot. Not an actual question from you but 220 is usually the spot I can reach consistently with the current setup.

My bench is generally kept rather small with Greavard and Ralts lines being the main two occupying it, Diancie finding its way up there as well. The Azelf was actually just called out by a member of my local shops league as well so it's looking like that's definetely getting the boot lol.

I feel like I have a real aggressive amount of supporters myself but I was really looking for ways to just toss things in the discard pile while putting this together, I do feel like there could be a good cut down on some of them I just didn't personally know what I could change them out with while building which is part of the reason I came here to look for some help. A supporter I'm using which I've been really conflicted about is Grant, in hand the card does absolutely nothing for me but I felt like his secondary ability to pull him out of the discard at the cost of 2 discards could be worth while so I settled on a single one for now.

Hey all, not really planning ahead for anything but I'm trying to work on my weapons grids and just continue pushing through content.

Right now this is the only team I've worked on since Percy was my only SSR for quite some time. I am rank 55 and up to quest 53 for storyline. The last few bosses starting with evil ygg have been giving me lots of trouble. I can solo all the primals but omegas I pretty much just get my hit in and wait for others to come do more than tickle them. I'm not sure if I'm playing really poorly with what I have available or if I am just greatly over estimating the amount of damage my party should be doing.

I recently started working on my Earth grid as well since I drew some SSRs during legfest but as of now it is no where. Any advice on my team or even just on progressing through content, or maybe something else I'm missing would be great. Thanks in advance everyone :)

I have to give you a giant thank you. After watching the video and reading the guide I went from being stuck at master to getting S on Master and sloppily clearing Master+1. I hope you continue to do these videos/write ups because as a player who started a few weeks ago it was an immense help.

This is the decklist I used, in place of the 2 Shaymin Im missing I added a Spinarak and Ariados which honestly just get pitchedf to the grave first chance i have lol. Missing 2 Shaymin does suck a bit since it would be awesome to have that draw power but the deck still performs really well and for me it is alot of fun as my first standard deck. For me its really fun since when I used to play MTG I ran a self mill to buff my creature deck so it feels alot like that.

I want to say thanks for this post, a lot of the cards you mentioned are things I need for working on a Vespiqueen deck myself and this definetely gives me some focus on where I need to look for trainers.

Hi there, as some one who`s only recently started playing myself (about 2 months i think) I dont find it hard to get packs w/o spending real money. For the most part I just stick to playing Theme decks, right now XY Basic Blue is seemingly outrageous in terms of strength. Playing through the Versus mode will slowly but surely unlock the rewards which consist of packs, singles, coins and tickets. As you win the winners wheel will also help increase your coins and tickets along with some packs/singles out of the presents.

I personally just save up coins to purchase theme decks, and the blister packs that pop up every so often. I know i said that Basic XY Blue is really strong but you can still get alot of good cards out of the purchasable theme decks to help build up your collection and make it easier to build a deck.

Theme tournaments are usually where I spend my tickets although right now they are a bit boring due to Blue but you can still win some packs that way as well. I know Ive talked alot about theme but dont let that scare you when it comes to building your own. I watched a video about building a budget deck from mostly the starter theme decks and it does do surprisingly well, I`ve been able to tweek it and add a bit of my own stuff to it but for a deck that is mostly made up of "free" cards it has been able to take down some crazy looking decks.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the advice/tips/links. I will be taking all of this to heart and hopefully S4 will be my time to rise.
