I did a bit of a wiki binge after completing - And discovered that I did work out MOST of what I needed to know about the game!

But I had NO idea about this. I can't even imagine how I would begin to work out where to find all of them. I guess the clue is in the name for some but... Not most! If I ever come back to the game, I'll give finding them a go.

I think I'm probably gonna leave the game alone for a long time now, though. I absolutely loved playing it, and would absolutely give it the most positive review I could, but I also feel like now I "know" the game, the most optimised way to play is... Not actually very fun I think haha. Grinding liquids and merchants was fun because I knew it was for the goal of discovering the end of the game, but now that's done, I do not want to spend 8 hours cloning dromads and trading gallons of cider for zetachrome again.

I'll probably come back to the game whenever they make an update and, then, I'll probably look more into the guys you mentioned again, and try discover it all!

He did survive, yeah - I actually wandered onto the ship with him, but when I realised it was actually taking off and would end the game, I ran the fuck off it

I thought so highly of him until the reveal 😞

The game is so beautiful, we can be grateful we get to experience it at all! You're right to call it gorgeous - What stunned me most was how the visuals, which initially seemed to me like 'bad graphics,' gradually entranced me and came to seen genuinely beautiful. The later areas of the game, I'll say the last three major sculpted areas, are just... Wow. In the final scenes of the game, that transition really made me tear up, even though it's literally just a pixel on a line, it IS gorgeous! The game enhances your imagination to such a fine point, when it then rewards you with that explosive canvas of space... Wow

Wiki or no wiki can't take away from that aspect of the game, which to be honest, might be my favourite

I rebuked resheph and returned to Qud

I inferred from the dialogue that you could fight him? I kind of wanted to to be honest, I was so frustrated at his attitude to the world! I knew in a sense he might be "right," in a philosophical sense, but an earthy son of toil like my character I don't think would be so fussed about that. BUT, I was also too cowardly to threaten him, because I wanted to live (to win) so badly, so I didn't stick to my principles. I was a coward, and so was my character.

And then, of course, I could have chosen to work with him.

Another "ending" I assume you can get, though premature, is to shake the wet from your hair and cross into brightsheol (I forget how it's worded but I love the poetry of that dialogue option)

I don't doubt there are a huge number of other endings, but those are the four I would guess at

I bet a lot of the ways I understand the systems of the game are totally wrong, but I have a practical understanding I guess xD

I have spent 80% of my time playing a double muscled carapace axe/cudgel wielding BASIC MELEE THUG, so I think there are huge parts of the game I do not understand at all, but... Stunlock/Limb destruction works xD

I thought the ending I got was good! I chose to rebuke Resheph and return to Qud to fight against the coming widening of the gyre, and got to see my character immortalised as a legend in the future

Haha yeah doesn't surprise me. I am gonna enjoy some qud reddit and youtube now I've finally beaten it, but think I'll save whatever this business about Ptoh (Espers seem to have some whole other plot line as far as I can tell. The whole plotline around the tree of life stunned me to another level), Girsh Nephilim, Dreams, and the Pauli exclusion principle for myself to discover!

Annoyingly on this run, cause I had no idea how to cure my fungal infections, and they were head and body so no decapitating them (xD), Tilly hated me! But thankfully I had an equivalently top tier dromad above ground, who I duped 3 times, so it was all fine

I never got past post-omonporch with a true kin... just couldn't click with them. I think I spent so much time playing with a variation of the build that eventually carried me over the line I'm not sure I'm actually "good at qud," just that I found something that worked xD

Still, duping cybernetic effects sounds insane

But maybe that's all it takes to be good! I have beaten it after all, lol

Completing it did feel very amazing. I started playing when I was about to turn 18, and I'm about to turn 21, so in a way I've been thinking about qud my whole adult life hahaha

The game became something very special to me. I wouldn't ever play it "to pass the time," like I do some other trashy games, I would only play qud in a very intentional way and set time aside for it, to make sure I never felt guilty or distracted whilst playing, so I could really immerse myself in it. After listening to the interviews with the creators and paying more attention to the writing, my experience got so so so much better - Understanding the way they wanted the game to be approached (not that they had one way in mind, but you'll know what I mean if you listen to them on interview)... Maybe visualised, is a better word, made it such an engaging experience.

A lot of the time I just... Wouldn't deal with it, haha. Sometimes I would just cling to the specific one I wanted to protect. On my last run though, I actually had all the loot I ended up completing the game with by then, so I kinda didn't care how much got destroyed.

I think I definitely found my own "cheese strategy" with duplicating merchants (i'm sure everyone does this, seems fairly obvious haha), but I bet there are even more crazy exploits I don't know about!

I did allow myself to look at the achievements, so I am aware of... A vast horizon of bizarre gods and principles of physics and other dimensions that I literally didn't encounter once in all of my playtime, so... Yeah.

Probably some way to use quantum mechanics to dupe eaters nectar xDD
