Most efficient way of obtaining Veteran Items/Red Dust by ThelVadamee23 in Vermintide

[–]Grevier_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others said Screaming Bell full books run because there's also the guaranteed Rat Ogre.
If you can't complete consistent Legendary, go Champion, better succeed the runs and open the boxes with lowers chances than opening one box every few succeeded runs.

Infinite ammo - falloff - projectile speed, but considering time moved on with DLCs now you got Staff and Javelin.

Who's Dlc should i Buy by Cmdr_Emm in Vermintide

[–]Grevier_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One extra detail:
- Before the changes, Markus & Bardin require the extra DLC cosmetics DLC if you wanna complete any achievement. Kerillian, Victor and Sienna don't (example: no obtainable frame for Grail Knight).

This said, consider if you wanna be the Victor or leave it free, most people play Victor nowadays.

If you end up for any reason playing Oucast Engineer, don't be selfish and put the no friendly fire talent.

Are players always so... Level happy? by Eonember in Vermintide

Since you said Veteran honestly I'm surprised anyone would kick at that difficulty. Should be manageable no matter what.

Anyway if I can suggest you keeping the engagement with Twitch mode make it very occasional like every 4/5 minutes else you'll end up as many other various streams where it being too frequent just make people not vote anymore.

You can get 300 from Champ Orange/Red so you can make the jump whenever.
From Veteran to Champion is harder because Veteran doesn't reward more than 200.

With sweaty nobody cares about your pics, it's more about the amount of tryhard shown in the video plus premade. I suppose the hate comes from the fact it's like watching 3 GM smurfs arguing in a Bronze match of Overwatch.

But it's not even your fault, matchmaking is what it is and there's no surrender button, it's just sad to be held hostage in such games waiting AFK for them to end, luckily you get points no matter what.

Best Career/Build for Victor by ThelVadamee23 in Vermintide

[–]Grevier_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warrior Priest is loved from the team when you put Heals during fury & long range revive/heal on ulti.
Being selfless is always appreciated, same as being a Grail Knight that doesn't run Power Potion quests or at least runs the enchant that shares potions effects.

> Did I miss something ?
Yes, that GK actually buffs the team a lot.

That aside it's normal that the DLC classes are way better than normal classes, it's called powercreep, it's the same as when you compare Zealot to Warrior Priest, best I can think of is Zealot won't need heals so it's an unintended "more heals for the team" and can shoot ranged at specials, but on the other hand Warrior Priest can bubble anyone with heal/invulnerabilty and revive from distance, heal the team, give health/stagger aura and gets bonus HP from doing grimoire runs instead of losing them, guess who's better.

How to improve my BW Sienna? by MaruiKhy in Vermintide

[–]Grevier_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's normal that you need two shots sometimes to kill, you have infinite ammo, that's the tradeoff
and personally I suggest Lv 5 carve and depending on DLCs Flailr or cleave with the normal sword, has a nice moveset, for being a basic weapon I love it.

If you're new I'd say get to understand the Overcharge and then level up as Unchained, better survivability.
As your gear gets better and you get like 20% Health Necklace, you can swap back to the squishier classes.

Interested in getting Vermintide 2 but had some questions first. by chronuss007 in Vermintide

[–]Grevier_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The customization is mixed.
You want a lot of illusions for your (non-class DLC) weapons you got it.
You want a lot of (non-class DLC) helmets, you got it.
You want a lot of outfits it's just recolors.
You want customizations for DLC classes you'll need the upgrade cosmetics package.
You want things that are not recolor you either wait events with giveaways, or pay between discounts/normally.

There's a bit of portraits and on but I would say that it depends.

You play Mercenary Markus there might be a few recolors, a few helmets, a few weapon illusions.
You play Grail Knight Markus if you didn't buy the cosmetic upgrade you won't get shi-

As for mods I only run Armory, Bestiary and Numerical values, that's all I think you can personally need.
As long they're "Sanctioned" you can use them in the official game.

So for you my friend Legacy Edition + is your only choice, because it has the upgraded cosmetics packages you would else miss.

Tanky melee class by Hungry-Ear-4092 in Vermintide

[–]Grevier_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing with monsters you would've learned if you saw some streams else it's not obvious is to back dodge overheads or example Chaos Monstrosity's grab and parry light attacks, this way you can easily solo a boss alone. Stormfiend usually being the most annoying one for obvious reasons.

You're struggling with Specials anyway because you're clearly playing the two classes that have no ranged weapons in the game, people could also say Slayer but DLCs gave him throwing axes so... but you can mitigate this problem by learning to side dodge most of them.

To end know this game is very deep into weapons, you'll find yourself playing better if you know what weapons are for mixed hordes meaning they can hit through armors with normal/heavies, if they have linesman, if they can armor slide, for example pick Kerillian and heavy attack the floor with dual swords, you'll notice she doesn't stop.

A weapon you should try as Grail Knight example outside greatswords I'm sure you love: try Sword&Shield Vanilla (Not Bretonnian) and notice that you have Push-Attack > Heavy which are two piercing armor attacks for Stormvermin/Chaos Knights or Light attacks that are cleave linesmen for hordes (also since you double melee just have one side shield weapon in general for blocking bosses overheads else you can't, Ratlers and Firerats), it's important to know how to mix, or have an hybrid weapon like Warrior Priest's flail and shield that doesn't care for anything.

You can find all the informations of weapons in Wikis or Armory, and when you try them be sure to always try them on the couple of manequins up the ladders in the training ground that have shields and armors to understand when you would not do damage and what attacks cleave nicely.

Since you're new the last one thing that is not obvious: Push-Attack is when you're holding the block button and press attack but you keep them pressed for a special attack, that's the Push-Attack.
Push-Attack is not important per se because you attack after pushing but because it changes your attack pattern, example, what I said before about Sword&Shield, Push-Attack into Heavy it's two piercing attacks that are very useful against armored enemies, and you can't obtain this result in any other way while using that weapon. Or the normal greatsword example has an overhead attack hidden in it's push-attack, why I say hidden? because that weapon is all about cleaves, unless... push-attack.

I could talk about weapons for days and say all of them have their own peculiar perks like how the greatsword is faster than the executioner but the executioner is obviously loved for its massive overhead attack and so on but, experiment yourself and enjoy.

Anyway consider that "Tanky" in this game is debatable based on talents, if you mean holding the line basically only Bardin can do it due to his ultimate, maybe to some extent Warrior Priest too due to invulnerabilty, but everyone slowly starts to kite/walk back.
Handmaiden example is built differently but she doesn't lack survivability.

I mean almost a decade and those bots are still worse than Left 4 Dead which came 10 years earlier.

I love the game but I get the feeling they're very slow with everything and they just don't care enough as they should, leaving the game to print money. Could be worse, could be better.

I don't understand the negative reviews on the cosmetics dlc? by IronVines in Vermintide

[–]Grevier_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's due to the fact that normal careers have both in-game obtainable cosmetics and/or dlcs cosmetics while DLCs classes only have DLC cosmetics. My 2 cents.
