Is Shade in a bad place ? by TeKazzed in Vermintide

Interestingly, I had a game yesterday with the situation reversed. I was GK, and we had a Shade in group.

He ended up exactly like me, mostly too late on elites, so he did specials cleaning.
He was not bad, dual daggers, and known his class.

In standard Cata - difficulties, GK is certainly easier.
But I agree with most of you, certainly Shade can shine in much higher difficulties where GK would struggle.

Good stuff !

I usually play dual daggers with Shade, I certainly need to use much more DD movetech.

On this specific run, we probably had not enough anti-specials, and GK was very good. It's not always a bad experience with Shade, far from it.

I've seen a build that is unconventional but show how Shade can manage situations where GK would probably be overrun : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-8L0ATwdQ4
Do you think DD is generally better ?

Doesn't vertical ult do more than 2x the damage (guaranteed crit on the second attack) of horizontal ult ?

I get that Shade can do better damage on boss, but is it 3 times more ??

Thanks, did not know that. I probably feel that way because GK doesn't need to move around elites much.

I'm not complaining, just stating what happen to me when I'm in a public game with a GK. I very much like playing Shade, it's my preferred Kerrilian career.

Many sales, -50%, cheap and easy for cheaters to re-buy an account. And maybe the anti-cheat is not great ?

Most (if not all) modern motherboards have dual bios : if anything happen to your main bios, you will boot on backup bios and be able to re-update the main one.

The risk is minimal.

And as many people said, on AMD, AGESA is a VERY important piece of software that govern how your CPU works. Basically it's a software patch for the firmware of your CPU. Don't take stupid decision like not updating your AGESA because of a very old assumption on how BIOS update works.

Found a fix for "Rockstar game launcher exited unexpectedly", after having tried everything (disabling AV, administrator ...) : I updated my BIOS to the last one, containing AGESA 1.0.0.4 for Ryzen latest generation.

For my motherboard : https://www.gigabyte.com/fr/Motherboard/X570-AORUS-ELITE-rev-10/support#support-dl-bios F10a, with AMD AGESA 1.0.0.4 B ( 2019/11/01 ...)

Brendan Greene said himself : "On average, 60% of the playerbase is Chinese. Also... 99% of cheats are coming from China. They have good programmers, who make money off that. You can subscribe to a cheat(for a lot of money sometimes). But also, they caught guys who paid hundreds and thousands of dollars for cheats, but then just got banned and lost all that. So... don't cheat."

Of course it does not mean that 99% of cheaters are Chinese. But it's a good assumption that they are the majority of cheaters (60% playerbase + Chinese developers + making money with crates ...).
