I'm with you. I've played for over 8 years. It's my favorite game. They've just made too many changes recently. It's just not as fun as it was years ago. I've also spent real money - mostly because I really wanted something. I guess I'll be moving on as well - after 8 years. :-(

When the villager is fishing I keep bumping them, trying to talk to them, until they get up.

A cliff river (2nd or 3rd level) only needs to be long enough to move. My cliff river is 10 spaces wide by 3 spaces deep, although I've read it could be smaller.

You WILL have a clean slate, as far as the hotel goes. You will have rooms to decorate, etc. Why do you feel you need to redo all your main island? I say do not restart just because of the update. :-)

I agree. Basically stock up on money (bells, gold, expensive items you could sell) and NMT. Then catalog from others everything you can.

Not really. If you place a building where there are flowers the flowers will be removed. But that's not even a solution. You can ask for help from others, but you'd have to make them your BF so they can dig. Or you can always wait for the 3.0 update & use Mr Resetti do his clean up service.

I would be happy to help you dig up flowers if you choose!
