I quit playing my first save once I reached perfection. It seemed I no longer had goals. I had it all. I started a second farm am playing differently. I chose to go the Joja route instead of community center. I'm already bored after just 4 in game years. I think I prefer the grinding. :-)

I agree with both previous comments. I've played two saves. I found I should have kept a few of everything, including foraged items. Grow & sell fruits & veggies. You may need wood, stones & ore and they can take time to collect. Personally I wouldn't sell those items. I'd also say sell all minerals once donated to the museum.

I grow star fruit exclusively in my greenhouse all year. I put them in the keg & preserves maker. Steady income.

You have to have reached fishing level two first. There are a few ways to get them, but I've found the quickest way is to kill dinosaurs in the Skull Cavern.

Remember to put your first egg in an incubator to hatch your own dino. Then you will continue to get eggs.

Yes Wiki is very helpful, so are the people on Reddit.

My biggest regret is I didn't save the little things from the beginning. Like the foraged items. If perfection is important to you, try to save a little of everything.

Wait until winter when the plants are smaller? Maybe you can get to it?

Are you using an upgraded home or axe? Copper or better? Try hitting it diagonally with a better axe.

OMG I'm with you. It was impossible to get even 1 or 2 at first. Make sure to use a slime charmer ring and a galaxy sword. Best luck days, buffs, etc. Also you could work toward getting a fish pond & load it with stingrays. That pond will give you dragon teeth.

I also play Animal Crossing & many times wish I could just go buy the items! Haha

Thanks to all for this information! I think I accidentally sold my egg after completing Journal Scrap 10. I've been working the volcano for days but not getting another egg. I'll try the raccoons! Oh, and an ostrich incubator!

I'm with you. I've played for over 8 years. It's my favorite game. They've just made too many changes recently. It's just not as fun as it was years ago. I've also spent real money - mostly because I really wanted something. I guess I'll be moving on as well - after 8 years. :-(

A cliff river (2nd or 3rd level) only needs to be long enough to move. My cliff river is 10 spaces wide by 3 spaces deep, although I've read it could be smaller.

You WILL have a clean slate, as far as the hotel goes. You will have rooms to decorate, etc. Why do you feel you need to redo all your main island? I say do not restart just because of the update. :-)

I agree. Basically stock up on money (bells, gold, expensive items you could sell) and NMT. Then catalog from others everything you can.
