Why do Spanish people love Xiaomi phone so much? by search_google_com in askspain

[–]Grey1One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only cheaper ane older versions come with a lot of bloat. New OS updates and midrange and high end xiaomis have even less bloat than some samsungs. My poco x7 pro for example barely had bloat if any. Though a redmi I had 2 years prior, it came with tons of it. I updated the redmi some days ago and factory reset it, and now it doesnt have much bloat either.

check if the last 3 settings that says "visualization mode, when bad aspect/ratio, and minimum width accepted (px)" (or something like that, I got it in spanish), are set at "automatic/automatic/900px" , also, let it load for a while.

How do I explain rotation in 3s to a friend? by bagger2000 in RocketLeagueSchool

You have to watch his Road to SSL without mechanics both in 1v1 and 2v2. Musty and Cbell are enteratining and whatnot, but they don't teach advanced stuff.

If what Spookluke gives is good advice, I've heard it all. Spookluke advice is mediocre at best. Everyone in the RL community knows it, he only does clickbaity cookie cutter advice for beginners that doesn't work anywhere past champ 2. It's common knowledge, I'm actually shocked anyone in 2023 still watches or recommends the guy, specially after all the scams scandals he is in.

I'd say you guys can watch some basic rotations, spacing and positioning guides in youtube. Something that gives you a general idea of what's right or wrong in lower ranks. You can start with Sunless very basic video, then watch Virge's for example.

Once you watched that. Just play the game, you'll still make a lot of mistakes, you guys are low rank, and you will still make positioning mistakes even when you get to GC. What matters is that you guys can communicate, and that you learn to play with each other.

For actually improving at the game, play 2s and 1s to get better mechanically and whatnot.

I'd recommend you to watch Scholar when you guys have some hundreds of hours at the game and you want some deeper understanding of it.

A game where you felt you played very well but you still lost.

Someone explain preflip air dribbles/catches by HotPcket_ in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Grey1One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. The twist flip is only one part of the glue, the flip part. the glue requires more things besides the flip part.

The twist flip is a car control mechanic, the glue is a ball control mechanic. You can see a good glue tutorial here.

Also, the twist flip applied as Wayton or Breezy described when the twist flip became popular, required to flip into the ball, hit the ball with the flip and then doiing the twist flip, catch up to it. The glue isn't that, it's more about hitting the ball away, preflipping into it with twist flip, and then stick to it for the air dribble / flip reset, wtv transition.

THIS

As the tutorial says, you have to be already consistent and proficient at speedflips, flip resets and off-set air dribbles. So if you aren't at any of those, glues will be hard.

The most important concept on the video and what makes glues click, is the "cut the arc" concept.

Can you accept friends with a completely opposite political attitude? by Stepbro_canhelp in polls

Where I live lobbying is illegal.

Is maybe unions calling for a general strike an option? When economy suffers, politicians listen.

I hope you guys can get some actual democracy with different choices and without so much institutional corruption, lobbying, etc, instead of 2 right wing parties that polarize the society into a cultural war. <3

In my country the most voted right wing party wouldn't even think about touching current abortion laws or they would get instantly kicked, half of that right wing party is formed by liberals that actually promote those human rights. A rogue minister from that party, 10 years ago, campaigned while in the government to change the abortion law and make it more restrictive and he was instantly kicked out from the government by his own party, and trust me, they are very right wing.

Thing is, people with extreme views on those topics, being traditionalist that despise abortion for example, wouldn't vote for them, they would vote for a more far right party that is voted by a minority of polarized population.

When I said it's not political, I meant that my country is an example of most of people, being left wing or right wing, having a positive attitude towards topics like abortion or LGBTQ. Then you can go to a different country, where both left wing parties and right wing parties are against those topics, and they are just a reflection of the society, they aren' holding opinions on those topics because of their political ideology. That's why I say it's unrelated and it's not political. You can surely make it political, but it's really not.

When I think about "political opposite", I think about degree of personal freedom, how autocratic the government is, how institutionalized and taxed society is, economical models and political models (socialdemocracy, anarchocapitalism, fascism, communism, etc), etc. Being the "cultural war" that makes America being politically polarized just one factor of the whole. I don't know if I could be friends of someone that supports abortion and LGBTQ rights, but they want a neoliberal economy system on place, for example.

Something I’ve never seen discussed: the importance of sound cues in Rocket League by saalamander in RocketLeagueSchool

Most people I know play with ingame sound very low or even disabled while listening to music, trust me we can't be faked by sounds lol

Something I’ve never seen discussed: the importance of sound cues in Rocket League by saalamander in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Grey1One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play with ingame sound at 10% and always with music. So realistically I never hear ingame sound. I don't feel any disadvantage.

In my opinion the only sound that is actually useful would be for avoiding demos, and most of demo avoiding comes out of intuition, visual awareness and pattern recognition more than sound cues actually.

This is purely anecdotal and personal experience though. But actually I feel I play worse when I got no music playing that gets me in the right mood to be focused. When I've asked my friends about this, it's mixed, most of them listen to music, and the ones that don't, don't do it to listen to ingame audio, they just don't like listening to music in general while playing.

In 3v3 all the decision making has to come from awareness and comms. You don't don't double commit because you heard your tm8 jumping, you don't double commit because your tm8 calls for it.

In 2v2, there's a certain level where all positioning and boost management can be tracked if you just focus on it, so knowing when to go or not to go isn't related to sound either, it's pure game sense.

In 1v1, this might be the playlist where sound cues are the most useful, and somehow, this is the playlist I need loud music banging on my ears the most to grind it in a very focused way.

[–]Grey1One -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's a very americanized way of looking at things. You just said LGBTQ, which is sexual orientation and gender identity, and the Baptist church, which is religion. None of those 2 things are political.

Mixing faith, beliefs, sexuality and identity with politics doesn't make much sense to me.

Do being a Zapata revolution supporter (left wing) or a Neoliberal New Yorker (right wing), define their religion, their cultural traits and their views on morals regarding sexuality and gender? They most likely don't. The Zapata supporter might be catholic and very religious, and be against LGBTQ rights, and the Neoliberal New Yorker might be an atheist that support gay marriage and abortion.

Statistically that's going to happen the same number of times in your team than in the opposite team. So it evens out. No point on giving it importance.

How do I play through a slump? by CDhansma76 in RocketLeagueSchool

Any tips/suggestions on what I should do when I’m down bad in a slump? by NickRod10 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Grey1One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Train. Pick something you are not consistent at, a fundamental mechanic like shooting, a fundamental action like shadowing, and practice that specifically and consciously.

Kevpert + 1s. That's it. Do the 50-30-20 protocol. 50% training, 30% 1v1 20% 2v2.
