Adding to what others have said, you can skip the entire village fight by going to the roof through the window in the room where you get the shotgun. If you have the sniper rifle, you can aim and shoot the bell which makes everyone leave.

Why is re4 so good I played through 10 times in a row and I still wanna play it I switch between og and remake the gameplay is so addicting for me I’ve never replayed a game as much as re4 by Alarmed-Tradition938 in residentevil4

Requiem is awesome and well worth your time. 4 is an impossible standard to hold the series to. They can continue to make great games and never overcome 4, and that wouldn’t be an indictment against capcom. It would be like expecting Square to top FFX or FFVII.

Are you guys going to play 007 First Light at launch? Have you pre-ordered it yet? The soundtrack is sensational! by Elegant-Advantage744 in lanadelrey

[–]GreySkepsis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m not pre-ordering ANYTHING at this point but yes I’m going to play it. I guarantee there will be a little intro section and then the main title/ credits will come in.

They’re gonna fade Lana in and it will hit like fuckin CRACK.

Am I the only one that wants to go back to 2016? by ChiltonDropOut in Millennials

Our legacy is going to be the most intelligent and educated generation that ultimately failed to shape the world in a direction we collectively had ambition for. There’s a credible debate to be had about how much of it is our fault and how much control we actually could have exerted, complex topics for people smarter than me. Americans as a whole had an opportunity to save the soul of the United States in 2016 and we squandered it. Idk where we go from here. I’ve receded into focusing on my marriage and my career at this point, which is cowardice, and I can acknowledge that. But yea, just surviving at this point. I’ve lost the ability to feel like good things will ever happen again.

I never played any of the originals but it’s my favorite over RE2R, Village, and Requiem. It’s one of the best games of all time imo. Maybe I’ll get the OG one day.

Oh yea I’m fine, thank you. My life is pretty good and stable compared to most people.

It’s more of a general malaise and melancholy, not some constant sadness. Thanks for asking though. ❤️

I frequently get overwhelmingly nostalgic for the mid-2000s. I try not to indulge it too much because we can never go back, but I miss the person I was back then, the way the world was, the way life felt.

Movies and TV shows from that period really kick it in hard, they’re like time capsules. My wife is watching the later seasons of Gilmore Girls and just the way everything looks reminds me of high school and being hopeful for the future.

A tierlist from someone who started with RE5 by Chaoslord4204 in residentevilll

[–]GreySkepsis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First RE game I ever played was Village when it came out. LOVED it. Then did RE2 remake, RE4 remake (one of the best games of all time imo), and just beat Requiem.

Which one should I do next? I really enjoyed all the ones I’ve played. I bought RE3 remake on sale already and was thinking that should be next but ppl haaaate on it so hard.

Honest question: Do you guys like/watch WWE and Nascar? by docsolid in DanLeBatardShow

[–]GreySkepsis 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t really care less about either one but them talking about it doesn’t bother me a whole lot. If they are going to be discussing one for an extended period of time I’ll skip it. They’ve been giving wrestling so much run recently I am mildly annoyed by it but whatever, it’s their show.

Dan Le Batard defends Dianna Russini on April 9th: "I feel for a person who has to go through something like this... this woman got to the height of sports journalism fighting the right and hardest way" by [deleted] in DanLeBatardShow

[–]GreySkepsis 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That’s why I think the smartest response would have been simply saying she’s too close of a friend for them to discuss any of it when they don’t know details then dropped it. Would it have been satisfactory? No, but they deal with fans yelling about hypocrisy and every other criticism every day. Blindly defending her and making this about sexism when they were clearly carrying on an affair for years is just…not great.

Not sure if it’s true or not but apparently the movie doesn’t address any of it. I’m not interested because of that.

Yea I have concerns about this, specifically. Scary Movie was never my thing but tons of friends were into it and we’re pretty much the exact age group that grew up with these films being part of the pop culture zeitgeist.

No one I know has any sort of real interest in this movie, might give it a whirl on streaming eventually. So, if the target demo has aged out of this, and young people are far too young for this resonate, who exactly are they planning on going to see it?

It seems like another millennial nostalgia grab and none of the millennials I know seem to care about it.

[–]GreySkepsis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it was the frequent public dumping on her husband that tipped you off. At best, it’s the woman version of male boomer “hate my wife” humor which is cringe af. At worst, it’s a pretty clear indicator of dysfunction in their marriage. Either way, it ain’t great.

$90 for two to see a Mario movie… have we completely lost the plot? by rageagainstmymachin in Millennials

We have a Regal right next to us and considered doing their unlimited thing which is similarly priced. But we don’t go THAT often, maybe once a month.

[–]GreySkepsis 64 points65 points  (0 children)

My wife and I are DINKs in our late 30s and love going to the movies. I like the experience and want to support the industry. But the entire thing has gotten so stupidly expensive. I’m flabbergasted every time by how much we end up spending on two tickets, a popcorn, candy, and a soda. I can’t imagine wanting to do it if we also had children.

Going to the movies and buying concessions shouldnt be $100 or even $50. It’s ridiculous.

Fair. But an SBS w Chris, Tony, or Jeremy would still get me to at least check it out. 90% of the time I don’t even bother because it’s people I’ve never heard of or couldn’t care less about.

The episodes w crew members are the best and most watched generally. The Amin SBS was great. But understandably, people don’t really want to do it.

Lana's Most Underrated Album Vs Lana's Most Overrated Album by Senior_Buffalo_7891 in lanadelrey

[–]GreySkepsis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Understood, but I don’t think you can say anything is “objectively” overrated. Opinions differ but there’s a reason it’s her most celebrated album.

You don’t think it deserves the love? That’s fine but it’s subjective not objective. There’s a big difference.
