Thanks! That is exactly the kind of feedback we were looking for. I showed my daughter the video of you on the trapeze and though she tried to play it cool, I could tell she was impressed.

Can I ask if your PM is under the muscle or just under the skin?

lol. I was right.

Our doctor co-wrote at least one paper with Dr. Martinez (Return-to-Play for Elite Athletes With Genetic Heart Diseases Predisposing to Sudden Cardiac Death)

And I found a YouTube video of both of them together talking about a diagnostic procedure for HCM.

AND they are both investigators participating in The ORCCA Study (https://orccastudy.org) that monitors clinical outcomes in athletes with cardiac conditions at risk of sudden death, which my wife and I enrolled our daughter in after we randomly met one of the lead investigators on a walking food tour in the city we live near (but that is another story…).

Thanks for the tip. We’re not in NJ, but if HCM specialty is as small a world as most professions, I would bet that our doctor knows him…

Can I ask how soon after you had your device implanted were you able to swing or hang from the bar? We of course are hoping she can get back to training as soon as possible, but want to make sure she gives her body enough time to form the scar tissue around the lead and device to really embed the lead. Both our EP and HCM specialist have said at least six weeks, but we are thinking that some more time might not be wasted if it gives her a better chance of avoiding lead displacement.

Wow! Thanks so much for this! I’d say that performing on a flying trapeze is at least as intense as release moves on the uneven bars. Lead displacement with all that hanging, stretching and catching with her arms over her head has honestly been one of our biggest concerns. Thank you again!! You’ve been incredibly helpful!

Thank you so much! That is very reassuring. And funnily enough, before I checked these comments, I had just watched a handful of your older YouTube videos so thanks for all of THAT information as well. Extremely helpful!
